World Multiple Use Boats

Greetings!
I know I am not the only person whose been in the situation where you get a boat, and you go to an Island and shift out of you boat and, Boom its gone, and great now your stuck on this island. In fact this has happened to me so many times that it gets a bit annoying, so my conclusion is Multiple Use Boats.

Here's an example:
Say I bought a boat in Nemract and I am sailing to Maro Peaks, but on the way I see a super cool easter-egg and, BAM! Now I have no boat. Unless.. the boat returned to my inventory with a tag saying 2/3 uses left. This adds a nice bit realism to the game, because you can normally use boats more than once.

What Would Have To Happen:
-increased boat cost
-when exiting, if your inventory was full, a message would display: [Clear some space in your inventory first]
-[Anything Else]

 

Buy multiple boats?

 

Fills up lots of invintory, and yeah. But yes you are correct. Also this would be a minor change.

 

Like Veloper said, buy multiple boats. They dont cost much at all, and mostly 2 boats are enough. Most islands have Boat merchants too, so I don't see it as a problem.

 

This would save so many lives. It'd also give boat merchants in different locations more of a use. For example, the ones in Nemract might only have like, 2 uses, but ones you buy at like, Selchar, might be 4.

 

Im surprised they didn't fix this in gavel. but i really like this and i love how it works almost just like potions. with the use thing. 1+ support

 

Maybe this would also fix the boat lag that makes boat travel nearly impossible at times. +1 support.
Although if your inventory was full when you exit what would happen to the boat?

 

Or unless...
You buy multiple boats ._.

 

Or you could just make boats stackable I'd by 64 boats at once and just keep them in 1 slot

 

The problem with that is... Boats aren't stack-able in vanilla.

It would say: [Clear some space in your inventory first]

You might be able to force them to stack, I've seen mods where you can do that with potions and armor. The problem is if you accidentally unstack them you can't stack them back.

 

I agree, but another fix I would add would be to make it so when you leave your boat, you don't warp backwards like 15 blocks. This might be contributed to lag though, so idk.
