Game Mechanics Move Faster On Paths

    Oftentimes, when trying to get somewhere fast, moving in a straight line directly to where I'm trying to go is faster than travelling on the paths that lead to the same place. I always feel a bit weird doing this, though, like I'm not sticking to where I'm meant to go. However, I've found that having the paths to connect everything together, especially the cities with the wilderness, makes the map seem more like one unified world, but most of the time, when not traveling on the paths, it's harder to see how everything connects together. I propose that, when on a path, traveling by foot or by horse should be faster. I feel that if speed on paths is increased, even just by 1.5 times, it would lead more people to travel on the designated paths, and make the world feel more unified and alive.

    No. wynn has alot of places you can explore, and players should not be encouraged not to explore.

    You mean you don't think it's intended that you literally go in a straight path regardless of the fact that it'd be much easier if you went along the path

    Some quests require you to follow a path...

    Also it encourages exploration

    it's not the solution to the problem. the solution is to make off-path less traversible and filled with more dangerous monsters, so exploration is more fun AND using roads to travel is more efficemt.
