Most Overrated/underrated Game

Who Doesnt Like Pokemon

 

Overrated: Every shooter in the earth (why does people love them soo hard? only splatoon and overwatch are different and has a small chance of leaving this place)

Underrated: WynnCraft

overrated: literally every zombie-related game ever made
zombies are played out and boring, it's time to stop

underrated: terraria
seen as a "2d minecraft" by the children of the internet, it's actually pretty good
enjoy looking at the wiki most of the time though

 

Overrated: Cod or halo
Underrated: the absolutely amazing Xenoblade Chronicles

 

Alright, underrated: Yoshi's Island DS

I feel like I'm basically the only person on Earth who actually likes Yoshi's Island DS, if you say a good chunk of that opinion is nostalgia, then I'll have to kind of agree with you on that one, I know the game was criticized for iffy and bullshit level design in the later levels, average music (especially compared to the original), and a general sense of inferiority when again, compared to the original, and I realize that my point can be regarded as moot due to me never playing the original, only watching playthroughs whether they were speedruns or blind playthroughs.

I don't know why, but there's something about the visuals and the bullshit level design that just appeal to me, maybe it's because I'm a sucker for games with "hard as shit difficulty but not quite kaizo difficulty".

And concerning the nostalgia factor, I really can't say the sole reason for still liking YIDS is nostalgia, because first, I know of the many flaws that plague the game, but still like it, I mean, it's better than just blindly ignoring the flaws of something with rose-tinted goggles. And second, I've never been too big on nostalgia as an argument in the first place, because I think it warps my true opinion on stuff.

Despite all the flaws, I just find the game fun to play. Oh, and the music, I kind of liked the music in that game.



But Yoshi's NEW Island, now that's something I don't approve of.

 

wait, what? Rythem Heaven Fever was an underrated game?
Anyways, I would have to say an easily overrated game would be the FNaF series, I don't bash the series or anything, but the cult following it caught is bewildering to me.

Underrated would be a tricky one, but I would have to pick Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. Not exactly sure if this is an underrated game, but it's pretty damn fun.
