More Armour Textures

So I had the idea... Why dont we add damage values to armour so that if your in 1.9, there would be 35 different armour skins. The idea is that there are 7 for leather (Neutral, Multi, All 5 elements), gold, iron, chain and diamond.

For leather, the armour would look kinda like jackets and that stuff, gold would be basic armour, like what they would give to a squire (knight in training). Chainmail would be what your average knight would wear, with outlined colours and decorations for elements. Iron would be a higher class knight, like the armour would have abs and look more muscular (like what the roman generals wore), and diamond would be top class, like what emperors would where for battle.

Although technically in minecraft your armor doesn't change textures on your body when it's damaged where with weapons you have the little green bar, so idek if it's possible

Unfortunately it is not possible I looked it up awhile ago, but you can change the items on your head for 3D helmets

 

Hmm... nut that makes n osense. You can change an item texture, but why not a armour?

No. Those were ugly mainly because they were flat, here they wont be ugly because they'll have dimension from your skin

 

It is the same logic as putting a block on your head. Basically for your head slot only, you can put anything on your head. With that you can make a 3D helmet texture and apply it to the block that is on your head, making it so you can have a custom helmet only

 

So like some of hypixels texture packs

 

Hypixel isnt the only one that uses armour retextures, and I dislike the fact that your referencing a different server for the worst of all reasons
