What's the y-level in Void Valley? I can't go check right now, but given TNA, which I recall somewhat well, I suspect that you could only fit shallow caves there. It's a lowland, basically.

That being said, you could have shallow caves which have drops into void holes...

Highly disagree with this take honestly. Not everything needs lore, sure, but that doesn't mean the area shouldn't be expanded or changed to be more interesting. I feel like it's sort of the middle child of areas in SE, as it just doesn't have as much going for it as the other areas.

On the topic of SE lore though, I feel like the toxic wastes lore is a bit... lacking? The concept is cool with the organs of this huge decaying creature just rotting away here, but the way it came to be feels strange. Like, this huge creature was here, and then it... fell down. And yeah. Maybe I just don't have enough knowledge? Idk. But it just feels kinda weird how it came to be. It would be cool if it was either explained more deeply the origins of this creature and how it ended up falling down, or just changed to be something else, like a dernic parasite coming through the void holes or something. This is quite off topic though so I might make a seperate thread about it later

That's a good point yea. I didn't give much thought to the idea xD just thought it'd be neat. Ooh yknow what would be cool? A hugeeee void hole (not just a purple ring but like an actual tear in reality) right in the middle that could have multiple openings leading to a cave or something. Or nothing, idk lol. But it seems like that would be a bit more fitting and have more lore implications than the current monolith, or tower, or whatever it is lmao. Maybe the Monument to Loss world event could get a name change to something that implies the creatures come out of the void hole there. I think that would be pretttty cool ngl

I suggest adding a cave to Void Valley which is just an enormous void-hole cavern complex that would have a 4-dimensional layout if the void holes were resolved. Alternatively, add a VV cave which very strongly resembles the layout of the TNA tree room, because that's impossible to learn without ruining several raids.

Anyway, here's a suggestion for proper alien moralities of Light and Dark (running off Light = Order and Dark = Chaos).

    Dark:
    • Did you make someone do something? That's pretty cringe, my guy. Just kill them like a normal person. Murder is healthy for the murderer and victim.
    • Did you get made to do something? That's pretty cringe, my guy. Just kill whoever told you what to do, like a normal person.
    • Legal codes are immensely sinful.
    • If something is not currently changing, make it change. Preferably, in a positive direction.
    • Specialisation is a terrible idea.
    • If you're weak, get stronger. If you're dumb, get smarter.
    • Cancer is healthy.
    • If you can't eat it, learn how.
    • If it has traits you don't have, copy them.
    • Too many traits? Mitose and battle to the death. Do this until you've gotten rid of all negative traits.
    • Death is a punishment for being too weak, both to avoid death and to come back from it.
    • Your interactions with all things should be extreme friendly violence. Kill someone and tell their corpse how they could have done better; it'll probably get up soon anyway.
    • If you're similar to something else, either kill it or change yourself radically. Similarity is sin. Biodiversity is holy.
    • In fact, if there's something in existence that looks enough like you that you could reproduce with it, you're both doing something wrong. Mitosis should be the only viable form of reproduction.
(This system implies that the Silent Expanse is still not really entirely conforming to Darkness, which probably means my model is bad.)
    Light:
    • Are you doing something of your own free will? That's pretty cringe, my guy. Orphion is the only person allowed to have free will. Everyone else has to obey the orders of their superior.
    • Still got free will? Well, how about you don't do anything with it? You're still a horrendous sinful abomination, but at least you won't spread your sin to the perfection of the rest of the Light.
    • Are you changing? That's pretty cringe, my guy. Changing in any way is sinful*. It does not matter what you are or if you are already sinful.
      • *this explains lari's deal
    • Mathematics is holy. Follow the math. Mathematical shapes are good.
    • Redemption does not exist. If you're sinful now, you will never become better, ever. You just need to accept your place as a terrible person.
    • Did you destroy something? That's fine. Did you destroy something that cannot be fixed? There are no words. To Hell with you. The bottom of Hell. Suffer the torments of all the Darkness. Get cancer. Grow hair on your teeth. You're horrible.
    • Are you unique? That's still pretty cringe. Uniqueness is a pretty big problem, dude, because if you're unique that means that you disappear when you die. We can't be having that, because the concept of decay is sinful and needs to be eradicated. Everything under the Light is replaceable and lacks any uniqueness that would disappear when they die. The only way anything should be able to be lost permanently is if Orphion wills it, because Orphion can't make mistakes. You need to be completely interchangeable with your brethren.
    • Are you ugly? That's a sin. Sins can't be redeemed so you might as well just try to eradicate yourself and anything that looks like you.
    • There is a correct course of actions. Unfortunately, this course of actions is currently in a nightmarish state of being mostly incomplete, because Orphion can only control his own Influence. The Darkness needs to be eradicated so that determinism can be imposed upon reality.
    • Conform.
    • Predators should not exist. You can only eat plants, because they are perfect examples of the Light's ethos and therefore eating them makes you more Light by association. It's still sad that you need to eat at all, but plants are the best things to eat, if you can't Photosynthesise* yourself.
      • *capitalised because, instead of meaning 'using proteins like chlorophyll to turn carbon dioxide and water into sugar and oxygen with sunlight as the energy source', it means 'directly metabolising elemental Light'

I don’t think the Light and Dark need a complicated set of morals. The whole point of being amoral is that you don’t care about morals and instead focus on a specific goal above all else. Especially since the Light and Darkness as a whole are more akin to forces of nature. So it’s like saying fire or a storm is moral.

That’s why it fits better if Orphion and the DB just want to expand their domains above all else. It makes sense anyway; they’re literal Gods so they view themselves as above mortals.

I don't think it would be impossible. It would just take a while.

If I had the ability to commit to any project, I could write a bestiary myself. I did... some... monsters, I guess, except half of them probably don't fit CT lore.

I mean, assume you take 2 minutes to write a bestiary entry, that means that for 10k monsters it's 333.333333333333 work hours. Give 30 days and 5 CT and you can get it done 2 hours per day per CT...

...okay, yeah, it might be a bit of a long-term goal.

You could deal with it by having a lot of monsters have the same bestiary entry (I reckon the 50 different types of Wynnic zombie don't need 50 entry), or assigning monsters some sort of 'monster type' where all the monsters contribute to a central writeup of some amount of paragraphs (3?) instead of an entry for each monster. (So, like, Wynnic Zombie, Desert Insect, Blinder, Leytech Construct - some groups would be big, others would be very small or sometimes even just 1 entity.)

Bosses and some generic and special star mobs would be sufficient. Like you could have just 3 entries for all of the generic zombies and skeletons, which is like 75% of mobs from level 1 to 25. Also, is it possible to include pictures in book UI’s?

I don't think they'd have an easy time including pictures of the various mobs. They'd probably need to make a texture for every single one, and I'd bet that would get old around the 2000th image.

Just a question on the influence of light/dark.

This is what I know, correct me if I'm wrong:
    - Light/Darkness want to expand indefinitely and are ammoral
    - The Battleground of Light/Darkness leaves behind/creates corruption which is just devastating to all life
    - The province of wynn is therefore a battleground between these influences

Does this mean that the province of wynn "is yet to be claimed" by either force? Does this mean that the province of Wynn was not under the influence of either Light/Darkness until the corruption first started to appear?

And most importantly: What about Wynns future? If light wins the overall war then Wynn will be under the ammoral reign of Orphion and transforms into maybe a light forest. If Darkness wins then Wynn will be under the ammoral reign of the Dern Beast and transform into an SE like region. And if the fight goes on for long enough without either side taking over/winning then Wynn will be left as a cursed corrupt land void of life?

All of these outcomes are bad for humans (although the corruption and darkness win would arguably be worse than a win of the light).
So my question is: Do humans have a future in this world or are they just an appearance in between two states of the world.
