I don't think we should focus on the Meta of Wynn until all future updates are released.

It's something that develops over time in an unchanging environment, not something that you can fix or solve with a snap of your fingers.

 

whats the maximum possible def in each element? I know there was a thread about it but I can't find it

 

Reasonable thought, however it's an undeniable fact that the current meta is relatively stable, and not in a good way. Rainbow tanks will never die down unless the responsible equipment has been changed. Weapons with too high of a DPS will also need to be reduced to compensate.

Honestly, I don't think the metagame will be developing anytime soon. Players are too focused on 'the best build to win'. In a game like Wynncraft, stats of equipment as well as the capabilities of classes weigh leagues and bounds over the individual skill of the players. No matter how skilled a player is, you simply cannot compete with inferior equipment. This IS something that can be solved with a snap of fingers - just not my fingers. At the very least this thread serves purpose in awareness of the metagame, hopefully players will make builds specifically to counter the meta. However anything outside of Cataclysm or Alkatraz objectively has no chance.

Never thought I'd be quoting from this man, but "high enough numbers make you invincible" is nothing short of true.

Too damn high. Even if you spread the elements equally. It's skill point to defense ratio is far greater than the likes of Gravity (even if Gravity had no requirements).

actually the air def is kinda low
it's about 134 when equally distributed powders

 

I mean distributing based on individual boosts, not 4/4/4/4/4.

It's the most consistent poison wand as well as very high raw spell damage. It has fair usage, especially in killing non-Mage rainbow defensive tanks, also anti-Stratiformis.

I have absolutely no PvP experience, so this comes from my personal feelings about the items, but I think Heph should be S tier, Leo below A tier and Morph-Ruby below A, because there is almost never a reason to use it over Diamond Fusion Neck. (Same goes with Royal Stormy and Dia Hydro Neck - only reason you would ever use Royal Stormy is if you couldn't afford skill points for Dia Hydro Neck)

Other than that and other changes, great thread, and something that was definitely needed.

The only 'wut' I can relate to is Voidlight. Leo and Hetusol are fairly common as generic Chestplates, Stinger is one of the most powerful anti-armor Bows in the entire game. Scroll up to see explanation for Voidlight. It is an underrated but very reliable PVP weapon.

Might bump it out of A-Rank though, seeing as not enough people even know about it.

Yea. Leo is generally considered as terrible cause it nukes your water defense and damage, for a very small amount of HP

You're right. This would work much better as an informative thread. Perhaps a proper metagame breakdown, it will still serve the same purpose of awareness and overall guideline.
