Build Merely A Village I Made Because I Was Bored

blacksmith still needs detail on the walls, but otherwise is good.
the home's roof is extremely artificial, try to make it look more 'natural' per say

 

All I could really think to do was remove a little detailing, so to speak (It's 9:32 P.M, hard to think)

 

Watch grians videos they help you start it a bit imo

 

Maybe try to not use the same blocks?

 

Unfortunately, I have a mental... thing that causes me to dislike inconsistencies. If I switch the palette, it would look really poor to me...

 

you should extend the frame so you can add more detail becouse your builds really lack detail. but the roofs are good

 

Were you looking at the old buildings or the new ones..?

But the build might not progress for a while because I made the mistake of picking up a game I got addicted to a while back...

 

I looked at the new ones there is no detail there also are no good estetics. There are no trees, hills, rivers or small waterfalls.

 

Yeah, I'll add those later... There's 5 buildings so far, I need to recreate 8 more... Do you think I'll limit space with terrain just yet?

 

No you can just make paths through the hills and add a building or maybe some sort of shrine there and by making better terrain you will be able to make more types of buidlings like a miners camp next to a mountain or docks next to a river.

 

Honestly, I want to focus on the task at hand first, which is remaking the buildings... I'll add terrain after I'm done with that. (I counted 15 buildings, but I want to remove a building, so I have 5/14)

 

You shouldn't make all of the buildings first you will miss out on a lot of cool things that way.

 

Well, my time frame is limited (even more now due to a game I am currently addicted to...), So I'll try to make terrain, but no promises.

 

Things I like:
Good and simple palette
Good shape
The lumber mill shed roof looks great


Things I dont like:
Not many frames
Textures ate touching
Basic roofs
No terrain at all (its flat)
No detail
Only 1 or 2 blocks of depth
Walls are mostly flat

 

I'm beginning to question whether people are looking at the old or new buildings...

Also for the love of god I'm going to add terrain later stop pestering me about it.

Like a lot of people said, needs more detail.

And your Halloween revamp was nothing special, just a few pumpkins, how about adding cobwebs, carpets, bushes, and a bigger town pumpkin maybe!
