I've actually done a restart with that advice (I only have 2 building though ;-;)

Indeed, I'm feeling a lot more content about the outcome.

I probably won't do more than one palette for this town as my eye doesn't like inconsistencies because of a reason I do not wish to disclose.

no where does it say to be nice. Also, asking people to not be mean is really counter intuitive. You're saying you want criticism and feedback, but to limit said criticism and feedback so it doesn't hurt your feelings. Now, I guess you're still salty over what i said, I gave you criticism, is that not what you wanted?

You were essentially saying, "It's bad", and that's it. There is a distinct difference between constructive criticism and normal criticism.

Constructive Criticism

If you can't find a discrepancy between those two terms, you have a problem.

 

I don't really like to involve myself in these things... but you don't have to be mean in order to critique a person's work. Give feedback that offers alternative solutions to help people, and do it with kindness. This in itself is my critique of that. Give a little smile and bring positive atmosphere in trying to help people who will value your alternate solutions.
There is no need to gain an attack stance by mocking others and not expecting them to explain their position. Stay positive okay? Keep this place a kind place for collaboration and friendly gestures. ^-^

And flory5, why are only focusing on the things he says that he "hates" and how he says that he just hates it, he clearly says what he doesn't like about it, like its lack of detail and how its too basic. Even though Ron says he hates it, he wants you to improve I'm building

Yea I was a bit too harsh, so my apologies to florfy. Pardon how mean I was, I actually do what you to become better florfy. But you can't ignore my Criticisms. I pointed out that it was too simple and lacked detail, so wouldn't the next logical step to fix those two things? And hate was a strong word for me to use. Sorry, whe you're done I'll try and give constructive criticism.

There isnt enough depth. Either push out the logs or push in the plancks. Add gardens and curve the roof. Besides that, you are going in the right track of having a good village.

 

I'd say give the roofs a bit more shape and add some more to the walls

Alright! time for my new criticisms! Okay so you managed to add depth, but you forgot to add detail. Also the buildings all look the same, and still can use a lot of work. They certainly look better, but try making the roofs more messy, adding detail to the walls, and just removing the wall around the blacksmith.
