I'll walk outside, intending to go to the coffee shop. Of course, I'll take my tome and armor (under my robe) with me.

 

You walk into a small three floor building. Most of the people there you know go to your school. A few are sitting alone and one of them is about your age. You should probably get some coffee though.

Kaden then turns around and tries to stab the one that's on the ground directly in the head while also firing again at one of the shadows that haven't attacked yet, hoping that Jesse will shoot the remaining standing one with his staff*

(Also incase you forgot, Mini-Me's is a spell I have that summons 3 smaller Kaden's that obay Kaden's commands and have the same weapons that Kaden has)

I'm here! Here's my application! (Like last time, there's a picture coming up!)

Name: Nexus, but his nickname is Xen (pronounced 'zen')
Age/gender: 43, male

Race: Human

Backstory: Xen came from a poor family, and married to a woman that was also poor. He got a job, but it wasn't enough to sustain his family, so he instead became a mercenary; it was the only job available that paid enough. In a way, he's a paradox, because he fought when hired, but in truth he was fighting for his family, not for the money itself. His son became a mercenary too, and, unlike Xen, maybe even because of him, was made incapable of emotion, and then was sent by one of Xen's enemies to kill his family. Xen's son is still at large. After finally coming to terms with the trauma of the incident, retired from mercenary work, and now spend his time in a bar in Thaedal.

Appearance: Xen is a heavyset man. He's bald, and wears combat boots. He wears cargo pants and a paper-thin layer of Kevlar beneath his shirt. He wears little bands around his arms that have extra bullets on them, some of them including batteries for his laser gun. He has huge arms and legs, because a lack of magic forced him to have to rely on technology and his muscles. His skin has been hardened by an effect in martial arts known as 'iron skin.' (It's not bullet proof, but he can punch hard without suffering any negative effects.) He wears a belt that has pouches, and a sash that also has bullets for reloading.

Class: Mercenary
Weapon(ranged): Xen carries a laser gun and 2 pistols. He also carries a plasma grenade with him.
Weapon(melee): He has a buzz baton and a pair of electric knuckles.
Technological upgrades: No genetic engineering or cybernetics, but he has a tool that will temporarily surround his body with an energy shield that absorbs laser blasts, plasma blasts, and most energy-based magics. The kevlar is very efficient, even for this time, and protects him from most bullets.
Starting city: Thaedal

Great. Finally we have someone who doesn't have both magical and technological abilities ^^

 

I agree with the math but its not that aging slowed but that people get far better nutrition from genetically engineered "Super" foods and medicine has advanced so that a lot of the diseases that kill us today are easily curable. So technically your character should be 43.
Anyway great character, since he's kind of a tank he won't be able to move as fast as other less tank characters.
