You step out into a hallway full of doors. The carpet is a dark shade of brown and the walls are a plain tan. Elise starts leaning on you and as you locate the rooms labeled 208 and 209 she falls over onto you. You realize she's unconscious.

You only hit two of them. They fall over unconscious. You are now outside the circle. One of the two cops pulls out a baton that seems to glow with energy and charges at you.

"Yes! No one remembers when exactly it was invented but it has sparked wars." He takes a knife off the table and starts to cut the pizza into slices. "Usually people eat it with their hands but whatever you're comfortable with is fine."

Shalen
"Elise?!"
I catch her in the fall. I softly tap her cheek for any response. Then I open room 208 and drag her inside, to later lay her on the bed.
"Elise."

 

She doesn't respond but her breathing and heart rate are all normal from what you can tell. You sit there for a few moments when you hear a buzzing sound, you look around and realize its coming from the bag she was carrying.

 

Shalen
"Well, no one to stop me."
I grab the bag and open it to see what's inside.

 

You find her phone ringing and the caller is Jesse.

 

What does the area around me look like? Anything I can use to my advantage by manipulating it? Any street lamps or signs?

 

Shalen
I answer the call.
"Shalen speaking."

 

Like two street signs.
One of the men throws a knife at you.

"Oh hey.." he says rather confused sounding.

 

Shalen
"Hi. I decided to pick up the phone because something happened to Elise. And seeing as you're no stranger, I could pick up."

 

"Did she randomly fall unconscious?"
(YES DAMMIT I SPELLED UNCONSCIOUS RIGHT FIRST TRY!!)

 

Shalen
"Yes. How did you know? Does it happen often?"

 

"Magic backlash. She'll be fine in the morning. We both have different forms of construct magic and it sometimes has that effect when combined."

 

Shalen
"Oh, that's cool. But what was it you called for?"

 

"Just to check in. Well see you tomorrow Shalen. Get some rest." He ends the call.

 

Shalen
"Alright."
I put Elise in bed and then go to room 209 to sleep.
"Ugh..."

 

She takes up a piece and takes a sniff at it.
"Smells.... weird."

OOC: Are there other things beside pepperoni on it?

 

I'm gonna follow that presence around a bit.

 

I attempt to duck down and stab the cop with the glowing baton in the ankle, while kicking the cop with the gun behind me in the face.

Race: Human

Backstory: Just a girl who lost her parents at a young age, but continues to smile. She’s had to travel around on her own since she was ten. Most of the things she’s learned have been from kind strangers willing to teach or from her own experiences.

Appearance: 5’3” Light blonde shoulder length hair, freckles, violet eyes. Her hair is often full of static electricity. She wears dark brown pants and a light brown shirt, both are slightly tattered.

Class: self taught close combat specialist, mage

Weapon(ranged): This is the role her magic plays
Weapon(melee): One dagger with a spiked blade and a forked dagger
Technological upgrades: none

Magic abilities: She can control lightning. She’ll often direct it through her forked dagger.
