Speculation Meaning Of The Tripwires

So a lot of discussion has been centered on "tripwires" and why is it there blah blah.

Well looking at patterns, tripwires only work if you are at a specific point in the quest. For example: a tripwire near a teleport portal will only trigger if you have already progressed through a certain point in a quest, otherwise, more often than not you can't access that area (i.e, potion making).

So I ask the question: maybe the tripwire outside of Yahya's house can signify the either of these two things:
1. Yahya's house is actually a different part of the ??? quest, not necessarily the first step.
2. The tripwire is actually apart of the Mushroom Man Quest.

I don't think we should stop pursuing the "Yahya's House" hopper, but I do think that after a long list of many different steps that we have yet to figure out. Just my opinion.

 

Well that's the only spot we know of, so we will try everything there until we find the real start point

 

Theres one just outside the ragni gates, this also activates a dialouge when tripped with the talking mushroom in your inventory

 

There is no quest about Door of Time... But the tripwire...

 

Yeah, the Door of Time also has mushroom dialogue. I'm pretty sure they activate the talking mushroom

 

At the ragni castle ,at the entrance of the dining table is a pressure plate ,i don't have a talking mushroom tho.
