Maybe An Unpopular Opinion To Some, But I Hope Archer Isn't Gutted In 1.19

    I realize archer could use some nerfs, but I hope it isn't anything too major. It'd be nice if the survivability of archer was buffed in return for the nerfs, but I dunno if that's on the table.

    I think they are completely butchering arrow storm damage and bomb arrow a little bit

    To me I agree with this, really just because for me archer is the only class that's actually fun. You have really fun movement options, your damage can either be kinda chip away with bomb and autos from afar while staying safe or extremely high while up close with arrow shield + storm but in a very risky spot, and speed three all the time is really nice. No other class feels as nice to play to me, examples being:

    Assassin feels slow, I only enjoy using like weathered because it's faster, but the lack of any good mobility really is just a turn off
    Mage feels pretty nice to use actually, probably my second favorite behind archer, however it absolutely struggles because meteor has such a long cast time which therefore kills it's burst potential. Buff mage by letting you cast multiple meteors at once and I can see myself easily maining it
    Warrior is garbage

    Sure archer deals absurd damage and honestly I could understand a damage nerf (plus I use divzer so I don't really think it'll affect me personally too much), but any change in the core mechanics of how it works as a nerf easily could ruin the fun of it for me.

    Don't ruin the game for me lads, I kinda want to stick around for a little longer

    So you want archer to stay as this camping cuck who still does more dps than mage and warrior like 30 blocks away while also having insane fucking dps while up close, with the a pretty small risk. You're pretty much never in danger with arrow shield exisiting, and arrow storm to also supplement that overpowered playstyle. (and it does a fuckton of dps)

    Archer is fucking godly in both playstyles, unlike the rest of the classes, who pretty much can't camp, or at least as well as archer. Archer doesn't take any risks as much as the other classes, and still plays like a bitch.

    So no, this current playstyle may be "fun" to you, but it's plain overpowered in its design. A nerf is needed, and sorry to you I guess quitting the game.

    Apparently the shield is getting a change, which might remove this.
    Archer is also supposed to be a glass cannon, but the options to escape a close range fight and spam damage are insane. If you take away the damage however, you just have a class that is running away the entire time.
    It's a really weird case.

    I think archer should have medium to high dps / damage, but also that assassin should have noticeably and indisputably more dps / damage than archer.

    In order to properly balance the Archer class, we're removing its ability to shoot arrows. Now to attack you have to whack enemies with your bow for 1 damage.

    really don't have to write anything else here, though as a heads up for future replies it typically helps to read the entire post

    archer obviously needs a damage nerf, and probably remove the blind from shield, but actually changing spells to work differently (arrow rain is underrated please don't change it it's good) past removing an effect is a giant no to me

    Yeah, I could see a damage nerf (i.e. spell multiplier reductions) and removal of blindness. Past that, eh.

    I guess even with damage nerfs archer will be fine, but I sure hope his survivability isn't garbage in 1.19...
