the name of the little island is called potatoe island, and it was built by sage, its on the wiki, but i like the theory of how he makes fries with salty potatoes

 

the mage would've either died the way you said or would've been a long dead hermit

 

The ocean potato sash, I found it while trying to find the ocean mini-dungeon, the imp/sprite and the hoarder are strange, perhaps somebody may have a theory for it or will it be revealed in the gavel storyline thingy?

 

Unfortunately it's probably just a random easter egg island.

At this very moment, I am trapped in a house in bremminglar, the right side of the house is being peppered by a crazy cat idiot and there's savanna ocelots under mah house.

This lion lair is actually a good grinding spot, also it even has a boss mob and a puzzle and some extra parkour :D
