Make Gernald's Amulet A Ring

It seems quite silly to get this amulet 2 levels after you get the generator amulet, which is significantly superior unless you really want some minor survivability bonus over more significant spell damage bonuses.



This problem applies to other quest rewards aswell: you get a good item for the same slot a few levels apart. Some examples:

Green Skinned Trouble/The Mummy
Underwater/Suspended Flowers

I also think that the quest rewards for these could be changed. Why not make the Underwater quest give a ring, or make Suspended Flowers give a pair of pants?

 

I use gernald's at level 96 for the lb. Life of a poor player

 

each item is for different builds. they do this for variety

 

i don't get why you want to change something here. if you want more spell damage use the spell damage necklace if you want to have more elemental defence/loot bonus use the other necklace

 

Nah, quest rewards have identifications that work for all builds so you don't get quest rewards that aren't useless to you. You wouldn't keep using the treasure boots once you get the aerolia boots.

My point is that the Generator amulet is vastly superior to Gernald's amulet. If Gernald gave a ring instead you wouldn't have to discard the amulet.

 

you can chose to use one of them and suggesting to make one of them a ring and it actually happening is very very low.

 

There is no point in choosing for an inferior amulet. And you're completely missing the point of the suggestion section. We wouldn't have any if we only cared about being 100% sure it's implemented.

 

Oh yes, I remember when i did Lost Soles and my Sodeta Boots gave me +Melee dmg....

 

Sodeta Boots are great, nice health boost, nice mana regen, nice spell damage.

Yea.... because they are meant for a intell build

Oh im sure.... Because you will definitely be using mostly spells and not melee on an earth build....

Deal with it. You can't have everything. It is the same as you could use a willpower (lv42 unique necklace for 2/4s mana regen). You have to decide which one you want to use as I doubt that GMs will change an item type because you don't like it that way as you can't take advantage of it.

 

Really dumb post, considering there's a clearly superior choice (basically it's not a choice at all) between quest rewards you get only a few levels apart.
