Jokes aside, the corrupted underworld crypt is broken, and I don't mean it's overpowered. It's literally broken, which is very unfortunate, since it's a pretty fast dungeon, the mobs aren't super strong, and it's a good leveling area for levels 80-90.

When I say it's broken, I mean I'm lucky if graken doesn't disappear, launch charon into a wall, jump into a wall himself, or simply refuses to spawn, no matter how many body parts I put into the pedestal, during the boss fight. And believe me, there's nothing more frustrating than waiting through invincible mobs and lagging through a boat ride to have the final boss just not work and force you to restart. Four times in a row. And I think I'm one of the luckier ones; someone told me they went seven runs in a row with a broken battle. It should be a great leveling strategy, but the game simply breaks so often that it's better to do something like corrupted infested pit. I've thought about the various ways the boss battle manages to break, and I thought of a few simple ways to fix this problem:

    1. Make graken respawnable. This covers most issues involving graken thanos snapping himself.
    2. If charon or graken leaves the arena (aka goes through walls), they get teleported back out. Actually, they should add this to all mobs to fix shaman shoving mobs into the ground. The code should be something like "if the mob has its head inside of a block, teleport it up one slot. That might get buggy with giant walled arenas, but cuc is the only dungeon where that's a problem, and that can be solved by teleporting any out-of-bounds mobs into the arena.
    3. Make graken and charon slower. If they run around the arena at the speed of sound, a rounding error or a glitch will probably get one of them stuck in the wall.
    4. Or just make it a normal boss fight. The best way to solve a problem is to not create it in the first place, and it seems clear to me that this special boss fight, even though it's very interesting and adds something new instead of spamming buttons, is creating a whole host of problems. Even if the boss fight were similar to that of the regular crypt, there would be a lot less problems, and I actually kind of like the mode where you have to choose between allies. Maybe make those summonable with graken parts?

Overall, I just feel like this is something that actually needs work. If anyone has any additional ideas, I'd like to read them in the comments.

tldr: corrupted underworld crypt's boss fight is completely broken (literally) and should be fixed.

I agree this fight is way too buggy right now, but I believe all of these mob clipping bugs recently have been due to changes to the system a few months ago. instead of drastically changing the fight or implementing some rather flimsy patches to the problem, I would rather advocate for getting the mob mechanics that are allowing them to clip like this fixed; although I'm very optimistic it's something they're already looking in to.

Seconded, it's especially a pain in LI and (because Garoth is barely even killable without putting him into a pit of lava) CLS.

Yes, but don't make it a normal boss, even though I'm not a fan of the boss, it would take away its uniqueness.
