Take that back, I also used to think mages were really weak. But not anymore!

 

So sad! Mage sux so much :c

 

Nobody guess about pvp everyone just wynn to have fair quests . For example solo death as assasin - so easy . The. Try to solo with mage (just not possible) ingot mage 73 lvl with full endgames without mythic and death just regen my hard worked dmg .....

 

It's the balance class. It's supposed to be that way.

 

Mage is awesome! Its a little weak at first but if you level it up it becomes unstoppable.

 

Nope, the dmg is about 2-3 times less then any other class. The only thing that makes mage unique are the moves, but as they do not do good dmg it doesn't help much. My fellow lvl 75 player with the same lvl and rank of weapon can kill bosses in 3 minutes, while it takes me 30 minutes....

 

That doesn't negate my point.
If it takes you 30 minutes to kill a boss you are doing something wrong.
What is your skill build?
Are you using the correct strategy for a mage boss fight?
Is your gear id'd to the max?

At max my meteor does 3000 damage, I soloed every single boss but bob and death (and that's because the arenas are too small and flat). I can win a duel against the majority of level 75 players. The only time I get stuck in duels is because it's either a 70 def warrior or a mage with the same build as me with the same strategy.

nope i had fully id and best wep i could have, and was spamming meteor, and my build is 50 attack 50 ident 48 def

There is 1 thing I forgot to say... Dark Wizard > All Classes Together (including Mage) So clearly Dark Wizard can 1 shot Death with a basic hit. 7 mill with Death Star (in reality this should destroy the planet but wynncraft logic) DARK WIZARD = bae

To people saying the Mage is underpowered, you're wrong. It's got plenty of frills and abilities such as the only AOE basic attack as well as the fastest-repeating basic attack in the game, as well as the most potent slowing ability in the game with massive range for dirt-cheap, awesome comboing potential, and its heal spell.

To people saying the Mage is overpowered, this is balanced out by its low damage, lack of multi-hitting spells(I consider Arrow Storm, Smoke Bomb, Bash, and Uppercut to all be clissified as multi-hitting spells), lack of a reliable offensive spell until Lv 36(before Meteor gets Mesosphere Fall it's pretty tough to hit things with it), and that Heal spell falling a bit out of favor in the late game in place of high Health Regen and Life Steal ID's(which, by the way, due to a lack of multi-hitting spells is actually much less significant than it is on other classes). And, while this is unintentional and actually does make the Mage a little bit weaker than it ought to be, it has 85% defense when it's supposed to have 100%, but this will be fixed later.

To people saying the Mage is balanced, congratulations. You're correct.

Do you mean intelligence by "ident"?
I have a 70 def 70 strength build which makes me a mini tank, try putting most of your skill points in two places.

Yea i meant intelligence and mostly talking about the excavation boss. Also, I can spam meteore with my intelligence this high so would putting into attack really change anything as i would be able to attack less?

 

It kind of depends on what you spend your skill points on, the mage's spells are probably the most op spells in the game, Metor and Heal are an example, plus with its long range can make it easy to kill mobs/bosses

 

What kind of build were you using? I'm not able to do any of that, i'm probably bad tho, i can't even get near to beat Aenera ( i think that's the name) with its freaking regen.
