Well, it depends on the situation. If a friend is helping you do something, such as orange wybel, it is understandable you help them since they are trying to help you accomplish it as well.

But what if you are anything other than a mage, and you are continuously moving around, casting spells constantly and being on 3rd person to avoid hazards more easily, and you're doing all these things simultaneously just to stay alive, and to make things worse, you are low on health, and your potions are in your inventory and you cannot type "heal" in chat or access your inventory because you know that standing still for more than a few seconds at a time will get you killed, and also that your ally (if present) is also trying to stay alive?

 

You can state this, however, you obtain no magical powers whatsoever. None of you do.

...This is stupid. I'm sorry. I mean really... everytime I ask to heal, I say a good old "thank you". But I do agree, yes, people should thank us mages :D, I shall join you with my level 90 mage, no matter how stupid this is.
