Mage/Dark Wizard Help Mage Melee Build

Looking for a build for mage so I can hit fast or more and deal a vey nice melee dmg. No Gaia or other mythics.

Better having it but probably could go without it if the build deals sufficient dmg.

Level cap?

 

The only build I can think of being melee and somewhat spell type is being Earth/Fire/Water, which the main point is using The Gaea-Hewn Boots. Here's the recommended items.

Pisces / Shawl of Gaea
Taurus / Chestplate of Ineptitude
Greaves of Veneer
Gaea-Hewn Boots

Tisaun's Honor / Moon Pool Circlet
Giant's Ring
Bovine Brace / Justice
Royal Blazing / Dusty Amulet

Gaia

This should nearly nullify your negative spell damage with Gaea-Hewn like up to -45 spell damage. You're powerful on melee, but spell might become sub-par if you chose Taurus, and spells are ineffective when using Chestplate of Ineptitude.

 

Any none mythic to replace Gaia?

 

oh, hes lvl 97 but hes pro and can lvl to 100, i wanna see what u can do :)

 

Not pro, already failed an archer build.

 

I'd probably use:
Pisces
Chestplate of Ineptitude
Vaward
Gaea-Hewn Boots
2x Concentration
Tidal
Royal Dusty Amulet

Use any wand you feel like using, Gaia is your best option, though.
This build has melee, super good elemental defenses+hp and very high mana to use for ice snake and TP-ing.

 

but its using ineptitude, wouldnt it have bad spells?

Yes, bad spells. Very bad.

It can be changed to melee-spell hybrid using Azurite as the chestplate.

 

Yggdrasil is the 2nd best option for an earth/water wand.

The boosts from the other gear counter CoI's negatives pretty well.

 

There is Leaning Log, which is a very slow, but powerful weapon for melee.
