I DID NOT ACTUALLY VOTE INTENDING TO LYNCH HIM.
It was supposed to be seeing his reaction and then making a judgment as to whether he is scum or not.
If he had not responded for a dangerously long time or seemed non-suspicious I would have instantly retracted my vote.

It was more like:
Hey! someone else voted him! Hmm, he might actually have a point, but we need to see the guy's response before we say he's scum.
