Dungeons [lv. 95] Molten Monastery

    Molten Monastery is a dungeon idea that I have made up. It is a level 95 recommended dungeon, and can be located here on the map: https://map.wynncraft.com/#/1502/64/-5787/max/Wynncraft - overworld/Wynncraft World

    Lore: For centuries, a dragon known as the Crimson Tarragon has taken refuge in the Molten Heights after escaping from deep underneath Rodoroc in the caves thousands of meters below the great city. He has claimed the lives of thousands of hero's who challenge it. This mighty beast will reward anyone who defeats it with immense power, but at the potential cost of your life if you fail to defeat it.


    -=DUNGEON GUIDE=-

    Crimson Tarragon: *GGGGURRRGHH* Who could possibly have the audacity to awaken me.
    Crimson Tarragon: What does it matter anyway? I'll just do away with you and pretend this never happened...
    Crimson Tarragon: Just like I did with the rest of your people..

    ROOM 1/4

    The first phase is a battle phase, collect 30 Ungodly Essence's which are dropped by Baby Tarragon's and drop them into a hopper. This stage has quite a few monsters trying to stop you from killing the baby terragon's however.

    Drops: 1 Ungodly Essence (2 w/loot bomb)

    Tarragon Guardian (TRIES TO PREVENT YOU FROM KILLING BABY TARRAGON)
    HP: 50000
    Defenses: Fire, Earth, Water
    Weaknesses: Thunder
    Drops: N/A

    Molten Manhunter (TRIES TO PREVENT YOU FROM KILLING BABY TARRAGON)
    HP: 45000
    Defenses: Fire, Earth
    Weaknesses: Water
    Drops: N/A

    ROOM 2/4

    Crimson Tarragon: *GROORGH* You're a pesky little one aren't you.
    Crimson Tarragon: I'll give it to you, you're a formidable fight. But don't think you've won yet...
    Crimson tarragon: WE'VE ONLY BEGAN!

    The second phase is a battle/parkour phase, in which you must parkour vertically up a spike of netherrack with lava flowing around them and on them to try and stop you from going further. At the same time, flying bat's are trying to kill you and knock you off of the spike and to your death below.

    ENEMY INFORMATION

    Hellbat (LIKE FLYING TURRETS THAT ARE HARD TO KILL)
    HP: 10000
    Defenses: Fire, Earth, Water
    Weaknesses: N/A

    Molten Skeleton
    HP: 60000
    Defenses: Fire, Earth
    Weaknesses: Water

    Once you've climes up the spike successfully, you must drop 25 Magma Fragments which are dropped by Molten Skeletons into a hopper to proceed.

    ROOM 3/4

    Crimson Tarragon: BAH! You've defeated my powerful minions? You are really getting on my nerves.
    Crimson Tarragon: No worries, this next stage required some clever knowledge. Something you need.
    Crimson Tarragon: Solve 3 of my riddles, and you will be let into the next room.
    Crimson Tarragon: Get one wrong however, and you will feel the wrath of my guards...


    This room is a puzzle room. You must solve a series of riddles, and type the answer on a sign that will be given to you that can be placed. Get the answers right, you may pass into the next room, get them wrong, and you must fight a swarm of monsters until the next sign is given to you.

    You will be asked 3 riddles from a list of 9 random ones

    RIDDLE LIST & ANSWERS

    What has a head, a tail, is brown, and has no legs?
    Answer: Penny

    The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?
    Answer: Footsteps

    You can carry it everywhere you go, and it does not get heavy. What is it?
    Answer: Your Name

    They have not flesh, nor feathers, nor scales, nor bone. Yet they have fingers and thumbs of their own. What are they?
    Answer: Gloves

    What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away?
    Answer: Charcoal

    What has many keys, but can't even open a single door?
    Answer: Piano

    I am as light as a feather but no man can hold me for long. What am I?
    Answer: Breath

    I pass before the sun, yet make no shadow. What am I?
    Answer: Wind

    No sooner spoken than broken. What is it?
    Answer: Silence

    Tarragon Witch (Fight 10 of these if you get 2 answers wrong)

    Lava Lord (Fight 10 of these if you get 3 answers or more wrong)
    HP: 15000
    Defenses: ALL
    Weaknesses: Neutral

    AFTER 3 RIDDLES ARE ANSWERED

    Crimson Tarragon: Well done, I guess.... BUT IT'S NOT OVER YET!
    Crimson Tarragon: To prove to me that you're worthy of taking me on, you must challenge one more fighter.
    Crimson Tarragon: My strongest guardian Tarrakorg
    Crimson Tarragon: He will kill you, if you're sure you're ready to die then enter the next room...

    ROOM 4/5

    Tarrakorg: You've made me and the crimson tarragon very mad.
    Tarrakorg: I will not go easy on you. Prepare to DIE!

    ENEMY INFORMATION

    HP: 500000
    Defenses: Fire, Earth, Water
    Weaknesses: N/A
    Drops: Terrakorg Head

    Defeat Tarrakorg and pick up his head as proof of his death to enter the next room.

    ROOM 5/5

    Crimson Tarragon: I-is that Terrakorg's head!?!?!?
    Crimson Tarragon: But how? He was my strongest guardian....
    Crimson Tarragon: You've proven to me that you're a tough challenger. Unfortunately I am unable to battle you myself, as it would result in your immediate death.
    Crimson Tarragon: But you've shown me your true power and unfathomable strength. As a reward, you may keep his head. A token of honor from me.


    DUNGEON COMPLETED

    only problem i have is that the location is a bit inaccessible but otherwise its pretty cool

    In my opinion, placing projectile enemies in a parkour section is pretty scummy

    I don't know if the sign part would work, but it's awesome otherwise. More details could be given on the bossfight, maybe. Like which spells the boss uses and how the arena you figth him in.

    450,000 exp?! You get that much from CSST xD and this dungeon is meant to be 10 levels higher. At this stage levelling up takes around 6 million xp, so anything around 600,000 or 700,000 would be more appropriate.

    Since it's level 95 I'm pretty sure it would actually give near the same exp as csst because csst gradually loses the amount of xp you get from it as you level farther and farther away from it's recommended level but yeah increasing the exp is probably needed as csst actually gives you 550,000 if you do it at level 86 with no xp bonus (same for FF at level 90)

    I really like this, I can tell you put a lot of thought into it. But just please don't put enemies in the parkour section, thats just mean.

    I don’t think that Crimson Tarragon should have dialogue. It’s kinda cheeseball-y and doesn’t add that much to the dungeon. Plus it contradicts what the boss is like. The boss and its minions supposed to be an immortal, fire breathing dragon and lava monsters from the depths of hell, how could they speak? Also the ending makes no sense. Why wouldn’t the dragon want the player dead? It contradicts what it said earlier and just sounds like a cheap cop out for not adding an actual final boss. You can’t just tease the player of fighting the dragon the entire dungeon and then throw it out the last minute.

    So I would just cut the dialogue and add an actual boss fight. Everything else is fine except for the parkour, and the riddles were really well done.

    it is stated multiple times that ozoth is the last dragon, and all others were killed a while back

    ^ massive problem

    Firstly: Dwarves and shit would try and beat him up, considering what dragons did in the dwarves/doguns war
    Secondly: If I remember correctly, centuries ago was WHEN THE DWARF DOGUN WAR HAPPENED
    every. single. dragon. in. molten. heights. got. killed. in. the. dwarf. dogun. war.

    Also dialog imo should be just roars and spooky sounds to show you are fighting a beast and not some intelligente being

    Ok, four rooms, solid, whoa! One parkour, one puzzle, one fighting, and one boss? I mean the dungeon is a neat idea, but I feel like it doesn't do anything innovative, like all the other dungeons, such as climbing up the cogs in FF, or going on that boat ride for UC, or the cannon room in GG, it just doesn't feel... well... new, and fresh. I mean there's a fighting room in every dungeon, parkour in most, and a boss room, the only thing you have is a riddle room, which isn't too good, not to mention it has already been used in a quest, also it would just get a bit boring once you've memorized all of the possible riddles, also the boss fight is a bit underwhelming. So, overall, nice concept, but not really amazing, over the top execution.
