Lost Soles...

So I was doing the quest "Lost Soles" today. I got to the part where it says to find the secret of the table. Not sure if I waited to long or what but the hole didn't appear. When I interacted with Grandon again, he started talking about the map. I went along with it and tossed something in the map and got that the second digit is:

When interacting with Grandon though, now he just says the same thing about the map. I consulted the wiki because I was thoroughly confused and it said the next step was to go to the next floor like the but it won't let me into the second floor when I push the button and go through the (second floor) hole. I can't open the hole again to try to resolve it that way. Relogging isn't working. Am I softlocked in this quest?

 

Issue resolved: my timing was just a little off. It is open and closed very quickly and you have to time it well.
