its designed so when you beat it, you'll get level 2

Grab a stick and cast Light.
Then follow everyone else in, casting Guidance on myself as we go.
And even though I don't like it, I'll stand near the center of the group so that other monsters can't get to me.

You all three, try to climb up stream into the cave successfully. Although cold and wet, the naked half elf (Human) endured onwards, almost falling down due to the slippery, slimy rocks. Luckily, he was saved by Luther and Iados who looked hesitantly.

The main passage of the cave from the cave's mouth climbs steeply upwards, the stream plunging and splashing down its west side. On the stairs to your right, you can see stairs leading to a room, but cannot see what's completely at the end of the room. However, you can make out the sound of beast-like snarling and clanking of iron chains. Finally, the last you can see in your position is a side passage, covering in shadows, on the right that leads west across the stream. The rest ahead, in combination of being to shadowy, is also is slightly elevated above you, obscuring your vision.


Extra Information below:

In the cave, there is a dry side path where you can walk without getting wet, and I'm going to assume you 3 stand there for a while (i assumed you do because one of you is naked, and no one likes wet shoes)

Soon after the 3 make it up there and catch their breath. You 3 see Alice running up the stream as if someone did a running start to climb up one of those slanted walls, (rolling d20 - 6 + dexmod of 2 = 8) splashing a wave of decently sized water onto the rest of the three. As the cold wave of water splashed onto, Human felt a shiver down his spine. (Don't worry the water isn't that cold he'll get hypothermia, in fact the cave inside is 80-81 degrees F or 27 degrees C. The cave also has nice ventilation!)

 

I search the ground for any signs of footsteps.
