The horses oxen don't know anything and are in a kind of panicked state from the dead horses.

The arrows pierced their skull, hearts, and neck, leading to an instant death of the horses. The arrows don't seem to be magical or poisonous.

Suddenly, from the forest, you hear rustling coming from the trees nearby. Out of the greenery, four goblins ambush you. Two have readied their weapons, while two have their bows readied. Each goblin is in leather armor with shields out.
