This is my project that I have given myself.

Whenever I am bored or whenever I feel like it, I will write lore for items (my ultimate goal being to have lore for every item in game, minus the normals of course, but that's because nobody likes normals anyways.

Most of this does not add to the actual lore of the game, it's just some extra flavor text that the player can read about the items they find and equip, giving the game a little more depth.

The way I do this is by looking at the item guide, filtering by item tier, finding a name, and just making lore for it. I base lore off of the item name and ids.
Lets get right into it.


Lv. 4 Soft Helmet -=> This exotic leather was farmed from the cows in Katoa Ranch. If Bylvis found out about this, he would have a cow.
Lv. 7 Skin Cap -=> If you are bald, this doesn't really do much, but if you have hair, this is a great way to prank your friends and family.



With the uniques, I vary between descriptions of the item in humorous, entertaining, or overly descriptive ways. Uniques generally have a less serious tone, fitting with their item names. With uniques, the Lore is more like "flavor text", that is supposed to give the player thoughts to ponder or a quick chuckle when playing the game.

I tone the lore to try to match the "seriousness" of the name itself.

The Old King's Crown -> More Serious

Lv. 1 Hairy Cap -=> It's a hat... made out of hair. Get over it. Some say that the hair on your head is good enough, but this hair is stronger than most, and provides you with the extra layer of protection you need!

Lv. 4 Soft Helmet -=> This exotic leather was farmed from the cows in Katoa Ranch. If Bylvis found out about this, he would have a cow.

Lv. 4 Thinking Helmet -=> "When you put it on, all the knowledge within the cosmic universe becomes known to you"... Dammit, false advertising.

Lv. 6 Helmet of Intelligence -=> People who wear this helmet are generally seen posing with their fist under their chin. What are they thinking about? Who knows.

Lv. 7 Skin Cap -=> If you are bald, this doesn't really do much, but if you have hair, this is a great way to prank your friends and family.

Lv. 10 Rat Skull -=> A Ragni Prisoner once took a rat skull and decided to put it on their head. They managed to escape from the Prison by pretending to be a rat.

Lv. 12 Upside Down Bowl -=> It is said that humans often put this on their heads to help them maintain their clean-cut heads.

Lv. 12 Helmet of Wisdom -=> When you put this on, you find yourself feeling a little older, and more experienced in the realm of magic.

Lv. 13 Leather Face -=> This helmet is top quality leather harvested from the cows in Katoa Ranch, and is expertly handcrafted into a mask that truly hides your identity. This mask is common in formal events around Wynn.

Lv. 14 The Old King's Crown -=> This crown was once worn by the king of Ancient Nemract before its siege by the undead. it bestows its wearer with Courage and inflames them with a fierce desire to protect themselves and others around them.

Lv. 14 Creeper Mask -=> What are creepers again? Do they even exist? Or is it just a conspiracy....

Lv. 15 Butter Helmet -=> I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER... Oh wait, it IS butter. And when it melts on your head... Oh boy.

Lv. 18 Confusing Cap -=> Many people have tried this cap on before, nearby spectators have all testified to their walking around in circles and incoherent babbling.

Lv. 18 Zombie Helm -=> This old leather cap is commonly worn by the zombies lurking around the Emerald Trail. It reeks of the corruption and power of the nether, but remains a useful piece of equipment.

Lv. 19 Mercenary Hood -=> This hood is commonly worn by robbers and thieves, using it to vanish into the shadows and appearing from thin air.

Spoiler: Chestplates

Lv. 2 Scarab -=> This leather chestplate is braced with the hard shell of a desert scarab, giving it its strong and durable feel.

Lv. 4 Solidified Chestplate -=> Having been used in battle for many years, this durable chestplate carries with it the legacy of endurance and courage in times of hardship.

Lv. 4 Shining Cloak -=> This shimmering cloak has been mistaken by many to be a fake, showy piece of fabric. The silly appearance masks it's true magical prowess.

Lv. 6 Log Suit -=> You feel sort of silly wearing these spiky logs, and they certainly are a burden to carry, but you can be sure that your attackers will be punished.

Lv. 6 Abandoned Tunic -=> This old but sturdy leathery tunic grants experience to the wearer, allowing for greater concentration when spell casting

Lv. 7 Planus Vest -=> The snug fitting robe billows in the wind as you run, making your awkward movements look snazzy.

Lv. 9 Runner's Vest -=> The new revolution in aerodynamics has allowed for the creation of this tight fitting vest, increasing the maneuverability of the wearer.

Lv. 12 Mail of the Berserker -=>

Lv. 14 Collier Tunic -=>

Yeah the thread is inactive. Also this is just a place to show my work, but I don't feel like this belongs in the "My Work" section because this is technically a suggestion as well.

Back in the day i was a great Lore-Artist and so i made alot of interesting lores in the past , i may be abit rusty but i can get back in shape and make unique , creative , artistic , and fun to read lores ;) I might work on a huge project , a Book about wynncraft and players and their adventures with creative writing . Oh well

there is like... a fuckton of items in wynncraft, finding and giving a lore to EACH OF THEM would take you TONS AND TONS AND TONS AND TONS of time

Seems cool, but Salted intentionally decided to only make lores on legendaries and mythics. There are over 2000 items, and writing that much stuff would just take up too much unnecessary time for nothing but flavor text. Writing that much unnecessary lore would be like writing quests and quests worth of dialogue, which the GM has to write, then Grian has to look over.

 

Which is why me, a guy with no life, has decided to write lore for over 2000 items. (It's not like you lose anything).

Also, I mean, I would be willing to work solo (or with friends) to get this into the game. This would be an independent project, but we shall see how far this project of mine goes. I need to visit every shop in wynn & gavel (maybe corkus) as well, so I can get lore for those items too.
