There are alot of 1 minute thought-out suggestions on the forum, wich sucks.

When there is a thread like this: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/reduce-lag.104298/#post-1127273
Then the mods, instead of making sarcastic jokes("Shit I cant believe we haven't thought of that before") They should lock the thread or just delete it as a whole.

You can see how the thread even have 3+ pages, this means that the thread have been on the front page for some time, threads like that are taking up space for good actual suggestions.

My second suggestion is to start ruling out ideas.
Almost 20% of all suggestions are about a class, and the majority of the class-suggestions are pretty shitty to say it lightly...... And on a second note, right now the server doesn't need more classes.
Another idea to also rule out is "homes".

When I say "rule out an idea" I dont mean that no one would never be able to make a suggestion about that thing again. As I mentioned, the server doesn't need a new class. But in the future when more updates come out the admins could maybe decide that it is time for a 5th class. When they do this, they will announce that they now want class-suggestions threads again.

This means that now class-suggestions are no longer ruled out, and the community can come up with suggestions until the admins decides to rule out the idea again.

Any ideas that are ruled out will be locked when a mod sees one.
Informing the player about all of this would be very simple, - make a thread with a list of all the ruled out ideas and make that thread sticky.

I believe that doing this will make the suggestions forum alot cleaner.

I don't understand your first suggestion can you please explain it again?

and as to your second suggestion there is no need for that, people will post unoriginal ideas even if it clearly says in the rules not to, they just don't read the rules. as the community we tell the op and educate them as to why is that a bad idea and we let the thread sink to oblivion.

I like the idea, but not the practice. Lock useless threads, ok.

But like class threads, even if you know will not be implemented, are still nice to have around. Not the bad ones, but the well thought out ones are nice to read.

And yes, home threads should be rules out in 0 seconds flat

But the noobs who go "reduce lag" usually don't read sticky posts because they are stupid not mentally prepared to open stickies.

My first suggestion is to do delete useless threads.
Such as the one I used as an example. Thoose threads have no purpose and are just taking taking up space for actual good suggestions.

As for my second suggestion. If a mod spots a ruled out suggestion on the front page, then he will first post a comment, that could be anything such as "Your suggestion is ruled out, please make sure to read the stickies before posting on this forum." And then after that lock the thread. If you have the community educating thoose who do not read the rules. It will often end up with more than 4+ people posting something. This will keep the suggestion on the front page, taking space from actual good suggestions....

The problem I find with class suggestions is that the majority of them is not thought out at all. Almost all of them are not even original.
It is true that every now and then there is a well thought out class suggestion, but that is very, very, very rare....

Most people who make theese well thought out class suggestions do know that the chance of the class ever being added is very slim. Because of that, I think that class-suggestions actully belong under "Your Work", not "General Suggestions", since theese class suggestions are sort of fan art / fan fiction.

I agree completely as long as the mods can only lock the threads that took no effort at all to write (like the one you linked). If a someone put even a tiny amount of effort into a thread I think it should stay open.

There still suggestions. Like I make class suggestions very rarely (I actually made on recently) and I think they should get noticed if they are tonight out. Not just locked away.

Here's an example. There is this game I play, it was a class based fighting game. But they never added classes from suggestions. But one guy made such a good suggestion, they actually added it.

Wynncraft may not be thinking of adding a class, but if such a good class idea is made, who knows.

yea, you can't lock threads immediately as that will hurt the right to free speech. also you should let the threads to be left open so the posters will receive criticism and improve their idea.

Something I forgot to mention is that all current class suggestion threads will be left untouched.
It is only newer once that will be locked.
As I said, posting class "suggestions" is still possible by posting them under "Your Work", but they will be more like fan art / fan fiction.

All current class-suggestion threads will be left untouched in the General Suggestion forum.
The majority of people who make theese not thought out class suggestions will keep making them in the General Suggestions forum.
That will result in their thread will be locked and they will be told that class ideas are ruled out.

Meanwhile, thoose who are willing to come up with cool class concepts can still post them in Your Work.
Most people who make the bad class suggestions will not post them there, because that forum is where you showcase something cool you have made, not an actual suggestion that can be added into the game.

This way you will sort out the bad suggestions from the good ones.

that might be a good way to differentiate between good and bad suggestions, but you need to remember a lot of shit gets posted in the your work section, its not a pure holy place that produces divine ideas and perfect masterpieces. also the spam of class suggestions will drown the your work section which is competitive enough as it is.
and there is no need to be mean to our beloved shitposters, let them post in the suggestions section, bad ideas tend to sink and get locked by themselves and the place is swarming with bad posts as it is.

    OMG

Especially when they suggest a new continent, immediately after releasing this one!
Like obviously they're going to make another eventually, stop bugging them about it!
