World /lock

/lock is a command that I have thought of after losing my max XP Sage at the boss altar near Troms/Iboju Village, it is a basic command that locks your item into your inventory, meaning if you press "Q" you won't drop your item, and it can't be sold to an item buyer, instead it would be returned to you immediately, just like quest items.

To lock a certain item in your inventory you only have to hold it and do /lock, then it would never be gone from your inventory, and to unlock an item you hold it again and do either /lock or /unlock.
It would save hundreds of items, because most of us have lost an item we used because of this issue, and that sucks.

 

We probably need something like this.
But it's already been suggested.
(Btw switch your drop key to P, it helps a lot).

i didnt know that it was already suggested, i just thought of it because i was so bummed about losing my max xp bonus sage and i already switched my drop key to p, but its very annoying considering im used to q.

Well, it's okay to not know everything. It's a good idea to do a bit of research before posting a thread, to see if something similar already exists, especially when asking a question or making a suggestion.

As for thinking of it because you lost an item; that's never a good idea. Making a suggestion after losing something important to you will only cloud your judgement and increase your bias. I once made the same mistake, and looking back on it, the suggestion was really quite terrible.

 

Huh I still got few more likes and supporters (including more admins :P) than that, even tho I posted my suggestion later.
But it's not an actual competition - both suggestions are great! :D

I have a suggestion too...it's like third place in terms of supporters...

 

When it comes to good suggestions, all that matters is that they're good; ranking suggestions by amount of supporters won't do anything but create unnecessary flame, sadness, and competition.

 

I get what you are saying and I appreciate your advice, but Im not suggesting this to solve my own problem, after me losing my sage i flamed in guild chat and asked if that happened to someone else before, and i was answered with yes from all of my guild members who were on atm, then i asked them why cant we just lock items into our inventory, thus creating this thread about it, but i basically didnt know that @Lotem did a big and very well detailed thread about it, because the only section i visit on the forums is the trade market.
