Let's Theorize About The Main Questline We're Getting

Beyond the Grave, theres a room with a Giant Hourglass that says "The World", and around it are other smaller glasses (presumably empty) with the names of significant others in the world, Amadel, Sayleros' Brother, Robert (aka Bob), the guy whose soul was taken by Dullahan (I forget his name), Dullahan, one of the Twain brothers, and a few others I didn't recognize. And, let's not forget "You"

 

Dullahan is that evil guy who lived in that big ruined mansion, right?

Wait, hold on. HOLD ON. Empty hourglasses? That means the lifeforces of these people are end... If "You"rs is empty.. does that mean we're dead?
Sayleros' brother? What kind of special deal does he have to do with Death? Looks like I have to pay a visit back to dear ol' Death.

 

Yeah, Dullahan's the beheading guy, hence Dullahan being his name lol (google dullahan, fun Irish stuff). But yeah, I'm confused why Death would have these folks' hourglasses if their empty, so they may have been friends with Death.

Not to get all philosophical, trying to fight Death is like trying to send seven thousand soldiers to stab the ocean in an attempt to beat poseidon. Death will always win (unless you use one of Wynn or Gavel's patented Fountain of Youth to stay alive. Death is a concept, more than a being, so Bob, being a soldier, mostly likely understood that Death was at least, not an enemy.

Well I can say, it isn't really a prison. You will find out what it is soon enough. What was that floating island you were talking about?

Tho looking at it, it looks like a small town, similar of that to the Quartz Quarry Bandit camp.

I'dsay it was 1/2 there, tho I'd assume the big glass would move slower than the rest.

 

I think that is a city or like you said a bandit thing. It will probably be fully realized next update.

 

It may just be that Time is short. Or, Death is just saying "you know what this means, this is your life". Theres some adage that inspired the whole hourglass for people's where a person's like is just a grain of sand in the glass of life or something like that. I dont think its anything to really look into.
