Off topic, but DAE hate the “Chad vs. Virgin” meme? I get that most of them are not serious (or at least I hope they’re not), but they’re just not funny. The memes are either extremely biased, or suffer from confirmation bias. Most of the time, they amount to “Thing I don’t like” vs. “Thing I like”. Take a look at this one for instance:

First of all, it mentions how India is intolerant of Muslim neighbors (referring to Pakistan) and how China is atheist. India is only “intolerant” of Pakistan is because they were responsible for many terrorist attacks in South Asia. It also ignores that China literally puts Uyghur Muslims in concentration camps.

Second, the meme says that the Indian governement is corrupt but gets nothing done, while the Chinese government is corrupt but gets stuff done. This implies that a corrupt government of any kind is a good thing.

 

Only you could take a meme and find a way to make it politifcal

 

I wouldn’t have brought up politics if that meme didn’t first. I can find another one that doesn’t involve politics.

Let’s pick out the problems with this one.

Firstly, a game about kids with psychic powers is “realistic”, gotcha.

In the Pokemon one, the OP wrote that many songs are forgettable. Ignoring that music is subjective, many fans would tell them otherwise, considering many great tracks (notably in Gen V)

They also wrote that Mother has a more mature fanbase than Pokemon. That’s true, but only because the Mother fanbase consists of a grand total of 4 people.

They also also wrote that Pokemon gazes over darker themes, but in many games (notably Sun and Moon) themes of abuse are heavily implied.

Finally, the OP is contradicting themself. They say that Mother’s development team moved to Pokemon like that’s a good thing, but Pokemon is a virgin? :thonk:

Just here to refute you, not that I support EarthBound more, I havent played it. Also why are you analyzing and disecting a meme. I could just say you're biased towards pokemon and be done with it.

 

They're funnier on skyblock where they have virgin superior and chad lapis memes
They just crack me up in general when I understand them

I am biased a little bit towards Pokemon, but I tried to not let it get in the way. Thus why I didn’t refute the “Games decreases in quality after Gen IV”. Even though I disagree, that’s the OP’s opinion and opinions are opinions.
