Also, my opinion on the DLC characters in the first fighter’s pass (not including piranha plant)

Even though I wasn’t particularly a fan of the first three characters (though I’ve grown to like Joker) I think they all deserved the slot. Joker came from a great game, Hero is iconic and from an influential series, and Banjo is a fan favorite.

Terry was pushing it though. I don’t think his game series fits in any of the above categories. I think a mortal kombat character would’ve been a better choice.

Byleth was the only choice that pissed me off. We were told that the fighter’s pass would represent unrepresented series in Smash (and the trend was continuing for third party characters, or in Banjo’s case, a Nintendo character held hostage), only to get another fucking fire emblem character. I understand that FE3H is a good game (thus making his inclusion less egregious than Corrin’s) but Byleth should’ve been saved for the second fighter’s pass and not the final character for the 1st pass.
