Dynamaxing is a dumb gimmick, expanding on Mega Evolution would’ve been a better choice.

I wouldn’t have minded the legendaries if they were one Pokemon with different forms, otherwise they look too lazy and uninspired. The designs are growing on me tho, I was just disappointed because Solgaleo and Lunala from gen 7 were great designs, these just...aren’t.

Speaking of uninspired, the pokemon designs are a little as well. Wooloo is just a sheep, and we have Mareep. I’ll give it a pass though, because this is the U.K. where Wales is, and I guess we had to have a sheep pokemon...wait does this mean, oh god. I do really like the bird and flower pokemon though.


I really hope the Wild Areas idea is properly executed. Judging by the 2/27 direct, random encouters are still a thing, but only in properly marked routes. The “wild areas” have pokemom appearing in the overworld. I think having both will be jarring, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt until I play the game.

I’m a little skeptical, but I’m definitely buying one because...well, it’s Pokemon, and Pokemon is fun
