The biggest issue with Lari is how her story doesn't take into account the rest of the world around her. On its own it seems fine that they failed to stop the dark parasite, but one you start to look at the rest of the world there are problems.

For instance, Villagers and Elves aren't really on the best of terms even back then (remember the Elves tried to convert the villagers to light worship, and that didn't turn out too well). Lari is an extremely powerful person from what is essentially another nation going into villager lands and blowing things up. Lari's task has not been told to the villagers, since no one seems to know what she is really doing there, and in addition she hasn't even solved the problem after hundreds of years. So if you were a country and a super powerful soldier from a semi-unfriendly nation came in to your lands and blew things up while fighting an enemy you didn't even know existed, would you just let them continue doing that for hundreds of years? No. Additionally we know that the villagers had a huge army from the Sky Raiders being so afraid of it that they just left Ahmsord without a fight. So if the villagers have this huge army, why don't they send it down to stomp the parasite. Sure they would likely fail to do so, but in the current story they don't even appear AT ALL.

Another big issue with Lari is the time frame, since she is there for a thousand years doing essentially nothing for 99% of the time. When Lari first fought the parasite, it fled underground right next to her camp, and so then it takes her literally hundreds of years to find it, when it is literally right next to her home base. You cannot argue that the parasite moved around, as it was hibernating in order to regain strength after Lari didn't kill it, so again: how did it take her so long to find it? Also I need to address the fact that Lari makes zero changes as a character for 1000 years, as she is unable to realize that she can't just be a pacifist after everything (including her boyfriend Dullahan) is telling her that she needs to stop being a pacifist. Even when Dullahan gets hurt she still doesn't change her mind at all - and she has 1000 years of failure that should have done so. Yet suddenly her mind is changed in 1000 AP, and so what was it that made her finally realize her mistake? A random human she met finds some Canned Abis (weed ha ha funny), and gives it to a big tree. WHAT. How does this make sense?

This is incorrect. To my knowledge all new quests are done and almost if not all ot the reworked ones too.

Also please do not say "nonexistent", do you consider more than 3k pages and more than 6 years of work nonexistent?

Lari must have possibly grown up in a world so sooo perfect that the concept of parasitic diseases and their potential dangers were vague and that's why she couldn't make a difference between someone of her kind and a fcking parasite. In the end it's Orphion's fault for picking someone who couldn't grasp biology. /s

She actually did try to explain to a villager in memory paranoia why he shouldn't build there. Didn't exactly listen which is stupid.

Honestly, I think a discovery shows that she hasn't found the nest yet so all she can really do is block the parasites from expanding further (which a discovery shows she's doing well at)

Because the villagers don't know the cause of it. And that's those who actually care. Most of the villagers don't actually care, only those directly affected do.

Eh. Preparing and hunting the bug I'd say is doing something.

Actually a discovery indicates it was hibernating underground. Saying it now, finding something underground that isn't moving is MUCH harder than you think it is. They got lucky that it surfaced near them.

Again underground. Also I don't think they have the capabilities for deep mining.

Ah yes I hate it as well but it's because of what the light does. The light NEVER communicated to her. Like, ever. Didn't even let her in to the light realm. Player shows up and the light's suddenly "OH PULSE YOU SHOULD DEFINTELY HELP US"

Wasn't realisation of a mistake until after she nearly murders the player. She was just that angry that the light kept talking to the player but never spoke to her for god knows how many years despite being picked. It took that stupid tree talking to her for her to slowly realise "oh I should stop being a pacifist because killing isn't directly evil"
