So, we have the trading market so that a person can get items for emeralds. But I have found that I get so many items form chests and stuff that I can't get rid of it all, and I don't just want to dump it.

That is why I am suggesting a feature called the Junkyard. Basically, this would work like the trading post, except you can put anything into it, and you don't get emeralds. Instead, any person can try to sort through all the junk and find something they actually want, including items you put in.

I think this would be a great idea because it would add a way to get rid of items you don't want while providing an opportunity for emerald-poor players to get items (While having to work to find them)

I feel like this would be a bit op for casual runs and basically kill any incentive to go around and explore to get chests for any player that just needs some items. currently the market regulates this with market slots, you can't just dump all your junk items in to it for 3 emeralds each, so it solves the issue of players getting easy equipment while still creating a simple market for those going after specific items. if people were to actually use the junkyard, it would soon be packed with loads of random items that poorer players could just quickly browse through and near instantly develop a build without even having to go out and get the items themselves.

in my opinion, if you don't like getting rid of random items, just blacksmith them. it gets them out of the economy and still gives you a reward for it. don't worry if not everything goes to use, since it's not all meant to.

Would this only work for ingredients? Or could you put weapons, armor, etc. in the Junkyard too? I like the concept, but I think it could be a bit overpowered if anyone could find a better weapon there without even having to pay for it. Players could also just snatch higher level equipment and ingredients to use later in the game without having to work for them. I feel like it would be better if the levels of the junk you could see increased with your level (for instance, to see a level 43 ingredient, you would have to be above level 40).
