I'm sure all of you know, whether because you use it or have noticed it in the compass menu, that VIP+ and HERO ranks has access to a jukebox that can play any song in the game at any time. Well...

That's the current jukebox. It's a mess of 69 songs crammed into one GUI, and it is quite painful to find the song you want unless you have it all memorized. This is why I'm suggesting to completely revamp the jukebox to give it a better, easier to navigate, and more functional layout. Without further ado, I present...

    The Jukebox Revamped
    _______________________

    The New Features:
    • VIPs can now use the jukebox
    • Scroll through Wynncraft's soundtrack using the arrow buttons

    • Ability to save and load playlists

    • Searching

    • Special playlist menu for HERO rank

    • Song sorting
    • More settings, including a toggle for the old jukebox
    • And more...

The first thing I should mention is, as you probably saw, that the jukebox will now be available to VIPs. Yes, I'm saying it. VIPs can use the jukebox. As I say that, the higher ranks will still have quite a few of their own features, as you will see.

    _____________________

    The Main Jukebox

Instead of having every song fit onto the screen at once, there is now a scrolling menu. Use the arrows at the top of the menu to navigate though the entire soundtrack.

Hovering over the compass will display some very basic information.

The bar at the bottom of the jukebox contains playlist features, misc. settings, a search option, a HERO-exclusive menu called Stereo Mode, and music sorting.

    Selecting Songs in the Jukebox
Playing songs works similarly to the current system. Like it is right now, songs can be in three "modes" - not playing, in playlist, and playing.

Song times will be displayed*, and the song's tooltip is slightly different. Songs will also look a little different while they are playing - for one, it displays how long the song has been playing. In this case, "Ragni" has been playing for 49 seconds. Adding and removing songs to the playlist works just like before.

*times used in examples may be inaccurate

    Creating and Saving Playlists

While the VIP rank now has access to the jukebox, it's limited to little more than what the current jukebox contains - mainly the Wynncraft soundtrack, and temporary playlists. The ability to save and load playlists is a VIP+ and HERO only feature, sadly.

Down in the bottom left corner of the jukebox are two buttons, Save Playlist and Browse Playlists.

VIP+ and HERO can save an active playlist. The yellow checkmark opens a simple GUI that contains all saved playlists. VIP+ can save up to 8 playlists, while HERO can save up to 26. The GUI will adjust its size to fit the player's rank accordingly - HERO gets three rows, VIP+ gets one row.

If you have another playlist running, selecting a new playlist will automatically stop the active playlist.

When a playlist is being saved, a sign prompt appears. It's simple enough. Name the active playlist, then enter it, and it's saved.

Picking the TNT up and dropping it on a playlist will delete the playlist, but not before confirming with either a sign prompt or re-confirmation (dropping the TNT on the playlist again).

To open a playlist, simply click on the item. Any modifications to the playlist while running will be saved.

    Sorting and Searching Songs
Sorting through all the songs has been made a lot easier. There's now a search option, along with four basic sorting methods.

The book and quill in the bottom-center of the jukebox opens a sign prompt that can be used to search songs by keywords.

In the far bottom-right, there's a music-sorting option that sorts all songs by broad specification.

In order: Default, Alphabetical, Time, Random

Default is the music order that appears in the current jukebox - roughly the order in which the songs were added. Alphabetical Order is rather self-explanatory. Sorting by length lists the songs from shortest to longest. Sorting by random is, as the name implies, random.

When the music is sorted by random, this shows up right beside it. When clicked, the music selection is randomized again. This is there so you don't have to cycle through the sorting methods over and over if you want to change the random layout.

    Stereo Mode

Stereo Mode is a menu exclusively for the HERO rank. Its main purpose is to give more options in terms of running playlists.

    An Overview of Stereo Mode

This is the Stereo Mode GUI. This menu contains several tools focused on playlists. Per the norm, an exit button is located in the top-left.

    Playing Music and Playlists

The first step to using Stereo Mode is to open an existing playlist. The checkmark on the lower-left is where you open a playlist. With this example, a playlist is already selected. In this case, it's a playlist called Wynn Towns.

There is also an option in the lower-right corner to load a random playlist:

In the top row, to the left and right of the compass are two green scroll buttons for scrolling through the playlist. The red arrow to the right can be used to skip to the next song in the playlist (there are other ways to do that, though). The workbench on the left takes you back to the normal jukebox menu. Lastly, the yellow cycle button on the right restarts the playlist from the first song.

Down here is where the songs in the playlist are. In the loaded playlist I've been using as an example, there are eight songs. Five are displayed here, and the rest are revealed via scrolling. The music bar will be wider the longer the playlist is, to the point where it can fill the entire menu.

I mentioned that the skip button is one way to go to the next song. Clicking on the currently playing song or clicking on the next song in the music bar are two other ways. Right now, Nemract has been playing for 22 seconds.
    Additional Widgets

Stereo Mode contains a number of little things that can be useful when playing songs. In the center is a pause button, for example.

If at any time you need to stop the music, the pause button is available for when you absolutely have to step away from the computer but don't want the music to continue without you.

One of the big features of Stereo Mode is the ability to skip to certain points of the song, from the very beginning to the last instant (which is another way to skip forward to the next song, technically speaking). The black stained glass indicates where the song is right now, the gray glass shows the progress, and the colorless glass is how far the song has left to go. The times are neatly divided from 0:00 to the end across the nine spaces given.

At the very bottom center of the menu is a volume control. It can get as high and as low as the system can go. As shown in the screenshot above, left-clicking increases the volume, and right-clicking decreases the volume. If you want to turn down the music for Wynncraft without having to go into settings and messing with the volume option for noteblocks every single time you play something else on Minecraft then this convenient control helps you manage that.

Surround Sound is simple enough in concept - it explains what it does right on the tooltip. Instead of playing the music from the player's location, the notes play from a short distance away, with the same note coming from multiple directions. Surround Sound has four options:

    > Off: Default option, sounds normal
    > Low: Plays music from two sources, from the left and from the right
    > Medium: Plays music from three sources
    > High: Plays music from four sources

Each source is just far enough away that the music sounds a bit faded to counteract the extra volume.

To the right of the Volume Control is this little thing. If it's toggled on, Stereo Mode will begin running as soon as the player logs in, and will run the last playlist used under the same settings as before.

    _____________________

    Advanced Options

The last major thing to be covered in this suggestion is the little sunflower/gear icon in the main jukebox menu - Advanced Options. This is another VIP+/HERO exclusive feature, and it contains a number of minor on-off toggles to change your experience with the jukebox and with Wynncraft's music.

    Incomplete List of Options

Now, I'm calling this "incomplete" because there's always potential for more options. There are plenty of ideas that I wasn't able to think of, as is natural.

    Options (In order of screenshot):

    > More Frequent Play (Off by default) - "The game attempts to play songs more often"
    > Classic Jukebox* (Off by default) - "The Jukebox uses the old menu" (Include an option to go back)
    > Auto-Stop (Off by default) - "Songs no longer run on a loop"
    > Duel Music (Off by default) - "Fast-paced music plays during duels"
    > Display Song Times (On by default) - "The time duration of songs are shown on the tooltip"
    > Jukebox Prompt (Off by default) - "A chat message/reminder when you log in that will immediately direct you to the jukebox when clicked"
    > Confirm Playlist Deletion (On by default) - "Asks for confirmation when deleting a playlist"
    > More Song Space* (Off by default) - "The Jukebox menu is adjusted to include more songs on screen" (The contents of the top menu bar are moved down to create a fourth row of songs; alternatively, the GUI space can be increased)
    > Playlist Delay (Off by default) - "A short delay between songs running on a playlist"
    > Lengthened Stereo Playlist (Off by default) - "Stereo Mode's playlist bar fits as many songs on screen as possible" (It means less scrolling for songs in Stereo Mode; this option is only visible with HERO rank)

*These two settings cannot be used together - if one is toggled on, the other turns off automatically.

    Final Comments/Suggestions

    Pros:
    • Fancier layout
    • Lots more features
    • Easier to find specific songs (searching)
    • VIP can now access basic jukebox
    • Less need to re-create your entire playlist every time you log in/switch classes
    • More content means more incentive to buy/upgrade ranks
    Cons:
    • Would take some time to develop
    • Could be confusing at first
    • May cause slight amounts of lag, but given Wynncraft's insane optimization, I'm not worried

And just a couple more suggestions before I roll out of the thread:
    • Add the Wizard Fortress music to the jukebox
    • Add a /jukebox command for VIP and a /stereo command for HERO

Holy smokes, this suggestion is by far one of the best I've seen in a long long time! Excellent work on the formatting, ideas, content... EVERYTHING! I would love to see this added, as HERO and VIP do not have as many incentives to buy them as VIP+ does.

I think this would take quite a bit of time to implement; it's very complicated. Hope this can stay alive and maybe get some staff recognition!
