    I mean it should've been pretty obvious for them that no one is going to spend more than half an hour or so trying to decode something as large as this for just a rebalancing update, especially when there is literally 0 hype for it and it literally just appeared out of nowhere one day.
    Even more so because this is just posted on a random relatively popular on the forum and the other 98% of the playerbase doesn't know about it.
    And quite a lot of people right now just want the already existing item and ingredient changes to actually be pushed to the game itself, this isn't the proper time, place and method to create a puzzle event like this.

    1. if you want to think the new update is "just a rebalancing update" then oh boi

    2. its not up to the item team when pushes are made, we request the devs to push whenever a changelog is published here and is inputted to the system, and we keep regularly ask for pushes whenever we can. there has been no item pushes for almost as long as jp is gone and that is not a coincidence. a common misconception that is "IMs are in charge of items so they must be able to dictate anything about it", that is in fact not the case. IMs are balancers, we only work the statistics of the items and ingredients on paper, and then we input those to the system. we dont code anything, and its not up to us to make pushes or other relevant updates regarding to the mechanics behind items, ingredients or the crafting system. we want item updates and crafting system and related bugs to be fixed as much as you do, but its not up to us.

    3. hype doesn't come out of nowhere, you can say, the puzzles are to generate hype for the item update

    4. if all we can do is wait for pushes to be made, then why not do something fun to keep the community engaged? one of the biggest complaints from the community towards CT in general is radio silence and lack of interaction, the IMs have always been the most engaging part of the CT with the community, and the puzzles are no exception. besides, making puzzles does not take away effort that we would otherwise put in doing updates. its up to the community, and by proxy, you, to decide what sorts of content and what sorts of engagement you want to have with us. we've put in the effort, whether you accept it is up to you.

    there's a fundamental theory for puzzles that all must follow: in order to be fun, a puzzle must lead the participants to its solution.

    the problem is that the participants in this case are all dumb butts and we can't figure it out, therefore no hype is generated, only confusion. imagine if instead of the gavel trailers and teasers saying an entire new continent was being added we got a link to a fortnite kill compilation. i appreciate the effort but you've gotta realize that puzzles are always harder to solve than the creator thinks they are.

    Not entirely true. I, for one, really like the teasers even though I can't figure them out. However, the small bit of hype generated when the first few were posted has definitely gone down. I would suggest to the Item Team maybe releasing some small (possibly also hidden) hints along new teasers, to make people extra excited about them and have an easier time solving old ones. Otherwise, yeah, we can't solve puzzles very quickly without big cooperation from community, we are too simple-minded to understand the inner machinations of an IM's thoughts.

    Hype will come, but it probably needs to get jumpstarted by a very surprising (confirmed) solved teaser. Until then, well, we can try and solve the riddles we've gotten.

    Very cool to bring up puzzles theory and all but at the end of the day this whole thing only serves to foreshadow an upcoming item update, that's all.

    Ofc on the off chance that I'm secretly a puzzle master and know all the fundamental theory of puzzles then this would be fun and hype and rewarding, but sadly I'm not. And it is fine. If we ever do this again then maybe we'll learn from this experience.

    Powders should finally be receiving a req and durability cost when used as an ingredient in crafting recipe! Let’s hope the bugs related to powder conversion is also fixed with this being live!

    Last minute news! You can now use all 6 of the crafting grid from level 1 onwards! Yes you can now use all of your crafting grid without crafting level restrictions. Balance wise we aren’t expecting major hiccups but please let us know if you can one shot Qira in level 23.

    Please let us know as soon as possible if any of the above changes didn’t made it or is malfunctioning
