That’s rich coming from someone who only knows how to bitch about assassin and contribute absolutely nothing else

 

Specialist was nerfed because it became extraordinarily strong as a result of the various systematic changes of 2.0 - even if Assassin as a whole is unbalanced a case like this can still be handled since the reasons for Specialist's power are clear.

 

From what little I used Specialist, it was because of elemental mastery right? The bonus damage from it gets multiplied by Specialist’s % damage or something? Or is it something else? I dunno I might be talking out of my a$$ here

 

Specialist just generally did a significant amount of damage from my experience, ignoring masteries

sorry king! you're right I haven't made a post about a possible trickster rework and contribute to discussions in the assassin thread or anything, if a class that I've been playing for 4 years got reworked and became an unbelievable pile of dogshit it makes sense to be pissed about it. Also jesus christ man idk who pissed in your cheerios, but it's pretty entertaining.

 

Speaking of The Nothing nerf, even though it eclipsed the DPS of its fellow mage legendaries I feel that it’s still going to be one of the most used regardless because other mage legendaries aren’t very good right now. I hardly see builds using wands like Nepta Floodbringer, Morrowind, Peaceful Rest, or god forbid items like Phoenix Wing or Faustian Contract. Even other widely-used options like Cascade still feel underpowered. This isn’t even just a mage problem as other classes like warrior have some weapons that are just utterly outclassed by others when they shouldn’t be (just look at Infidel compared to Tidebinder and The Forsaken for example). Though it’s understandable that more weapons shouldn’t be brought to The Nothing’s or Overdrive’s pre-nerf level, it doesn’t change the fact that there are too many obscure or outclassed legendaries in the loot pool right now for all classes, and these should be brought up to speed to compensate for nerfing the meta picks.

 

The ironic part is I've seen more phoenix wing usage than anything else mentioned here which is just neutral face emoji

 

It feels like the game is entirely balanced around mythics at this point and that most lategame legendary and rare weapons have kind of lost to power creep (especially since the strength/dex change).

 

I agree that a lot of other non-mythic weapons just suck and are basically unusable due to low damage output. I'm fine with mythics being strong but I want other weapons to at least be viable so I'm not limited to 3 choices for endgame without losing like 6k damage on my meteor or something

 

Yeah, Arcanist turned Phoenix Wing from practically useless into a pretty competitive weapon in both spell and melee.

That's literally it, it's big enough to make up for it being an otherwise weak weapon with basically no other redeeming factors.

 

Haha, HPR % has been, and will continue to be a mistake.

 

Numerous stats in Wynncraft are effectively multiplicative with others. HPR% is not a problem in general and it makes building more interesting and varied.

 

As a fan of crabs + convergence, so true !!
