Why doesn't curse's +210% damage boost triple my damage output?

Why does my weapon that only deals water damage also deal fire and earth damage on meteor?

etc, etc.

 

for all we know the two majors together could crash the entire server.

 

when are you gonna buff low lvl mythics (az, archangel,apoc)

 

when are you gonna buff inferno

 

after they nerf it

 

Seriously though Inferno really badly needs a buff. Every other mythic daggers and even a handful of non mythics generally outclass it. Inferno's damage is very lacking for being a mythic that is in a way self punishing. The -hpr% and -mana regen make it more difficult to build for no real reason. Even without those negative stats inferno would still not be particularly strong. It only offers hp but not really enough to make it a favored tank weapon (as nulli heavily outclasses it there) If you want to build melee Bygons and Phantasm and even flameshot can all easily out dps it. And if you want to go spell Black beats it out in every way but hp and within twf, tfa, ewf, and wfa there are many other superior options. I do suppose it is a fair argument to say that assassin does have the best non mythic weapon pool in the game but bear in mind even with that nirvana, nulli, weathered, cata, and even grim to an extent can all stand out on their own as solid mythics. Inferno just doesn't really have much to offer in general.

 

Well here’s my thoughts as someone who actually uses and builds for inferno (copies from another post I made):

“Inferno in general is a failure at intelligent item design and needs a proper rework

It fails at being a compelling fire mythic, having the same relative baseline damage of the other fire mythics but lacking any of the relevant sustain stats you would use a fire mythic as.

It fails at its intended niche(s) since fast melee/rawstack beats poison for worst assassin archetype. In spellsteal, black exists and is an example of how to do spellsteal right, with optimally positive mana, as well as decent damage IDs and the ability to focus on spellcosts or more costly high dex req items.

For its class, highly tanky build design is the least relevant of all 5 classes due to the existence of vanish. Assassin ETW is generally agreed to be the easiest class to play ETW on due to the nature of the class’s toolkit. Investing in high defence detracts from other possible items due to limited sp without providing a desirable buff. The class also doesn’t synergise with endurance like all the other classes do due to stunning spells and vanish too.

As the “tanky” assassin mythic it also somehow manages to be 3rd best for tankiness imo. Nulli provides superior tankiness while achieving better damage, costs and mana. Archangel, while having worse damage has better sp and health sustain too. So what is it’s purpose???”

Buff hadal, said like twice on the AIN discord but buff hadals terrible base, and remove its %spell damage, that way its less rng on what makes hadal is good. Hadal has the potental to be really good it just needs a rework. Also change Alkatraz.

No... it doesn't hadal has the worst base damage out of all the mythics. even lower than The end. I learned this recently but you can't just change the RNG of a weapon, thats not how it works sadly.
The reason hadal is the lowest is due to attackspeed multipliers, i don't remember the whole chart but I do remember
Super slow: 0.51 this makes hadal ironically do ass spell damage and needs a major buff

 

So wynndata is inaccurate in its damage calculation? yes Hadal has worse base damage than fanta and sunstar but its better than olympic and absolution (and toxo is just special case), but hadal is arguable best mythic relik if you get a good or even decent roll, considering the mana regen and spell damage. And uh, of course you can't change the RNG of a weapon...

 

yeah hadal's base is actually pretty high, it's just that yeah as said above the rng for it is really wide range, and it isn't used because fanta exists

 

Can I ask for thoughts on the future on hero?

 

if they plan on executing their E/T changes Hero will most likely get a nerf

 

more like everything will get a nerf except for pure defence items, but those might still get nerfed
