    As someone who mainly plays assassin and played it before the vanish changes I have to say that it is now infinetly more fun to play. I think it is awesome that you can actually notice a huge damage difference when fighting bosses when comboing correctly instead of just spamming one spell over and over and using utility when dropping low. Also idk why people think MR on assassin is bad, because if you combo correctly every tick will proc, which again is a nice skill expression visible in dps.

    I agree that the changes hurt tierstack assassin, however if you really wanna play tierstack it will always be worlds better on mage anyway, which makes that really hard to balance.

    I wouldn't consider 40k spell dps low (with Idol because warrior's main problem is that most of it's legendary spears are really bad. But you can still get 30k with Braker)

    That doesn't get more dmg.
    Uppercancel also has the effect that it forces the exploding and ground hit dmg directly while you miss out on that with 2x upper 1x bash

    It isn't a requirement at all. In fact, most good warrior builds don't use dragon's eye bracelet (Draoi + Diamond Hydro Bracelet is a better version of Yang + Dragon's eye bracelet and for TWF you have anima)

    Uppercut flying is pretty fun! Also shift uppercut+charge is a great way to reposition.

    As a warrior, I just wanna be a tank and afk in battle. I like curse because I can just curse enemy and let my team do dmg while I afk. Thank you.

    Tbh they should still add more effects or change parameters for the spell even if the mana cost be 8 or 9. It needs something to make it used as much as bash.

    I was just trying to make an ambivalence warrior build when I realized that uppercut currently costs 23 mana with ambivalence if you have no spell cost reduction items. I had been a bit unsure of which to choose in regards to this thread, but that sealed my decision. 8 cost uppercuts are 100% needed.

    Usually you use uppercut and bash the same time (because you uppercut with bash if you are an experienced warrior player trying to reach super high dps), sometimes you use uppercut even more (if you uppercancel with melee every few seconds in a spellsteal build)

    Yes, on warrior anima is worth using because you get -2 uppercancel cost

    Unfortunately it doesn’t. The highest spell cost that’s usable in game is 19, and 9 cost uppercuts + ambi gives 20 cost uppercuts (and that’s assuming it rounds down from 20.7).

    Can I point out we neither got a 8 mana uppercut nor a curse effect?

    Also. To those who voted for 8 mana uppercuts, that's significantly less useful now that Raids have come into the picture. You can easily get 150 intelligence in raids so a curse debuff to the object of the spell would be significantly more useful. On top of that, it would allow newer players to deal significantly more damage if a mob was debuffed.


    EDIT: what if, instead of a curse like effect where a mob takes more damage, uppercut nullifies elemental defenses for a short period of time? This would make it useful in raids, dungeon's, and simple pvh (player vs hord) combat

    Also it goes along with the theme of elemental defences being useful in 1.20 (I'm looking at you mythic tomes)

    Just a little thing...it's almost never useful to go for 139 int in a warrior build

    And having to build for 79 intel when using anima and spell cost items is also stupid since other classes can get the same benefit at 68 int

    It basically lets warrior not get any of the benefits of lower or higher ints that other classes gets, which is really really annoying, and seems arbitrary to me. Unless there's a good reason for it.

    Not every Warrior needs to, or should, perk into intelligence.
    I understand the mana change least benefits intelligence warriors, however, I don't think that's an issue.
    One of Uppercut's issues is fundamentally the mana cost of it, especially when you're basically forced to combo it into bash, this fact doesn't change with the "Curse effect"
    you won't be getting much use out of the Curse effect if you can't cast much in the way of spells after using it.


    I'm going, to be frank, it may be useful in groups, but it just doesn't fit Warrior.
    I want you to ask yourself what direction Warrior should go because I've spoken to Selvut enough times to know his intention is to turn Warrior into a debuff/buff heavy support class.
    Note that I said "Should go", not what direction you want it to go in. Frankly, Warrior already has a design goal, it just doesn't do it well.

    Having more utility in group play is fine, but really ask yourself in what way it should do that.
    Is debuffing enemies really fitting of the class, and largely the people who play it?
    Would it instead be better for the class to focus on what it already does well?
    Should it focus on what it was intended to do well?

    Frankly, Warrior should probably stick to what it's good at, and what it wants to be good at.
    I.e. A tanky, crowd control, rush down class.
