Let me clear this bannable stuff up. It would be considered a scam if you were to sell items that have no use in the game, such as vanilla items or old items. You would be banned for scamming.

 

what is both parties know that the item does nothing?

 

It encourages a glitched item market.

 

So am I gonna get banned for paying 32Eb for a broken Ik-El-Van? I didn't know this was against the rules, I knew the item did nothing, we both agreed on the price. I just like collecting odd items, am I breaking the rules for agreeing to buy an item that does nothing while knowing full well it does nothing?

 

No you wouldn't be banned they technically scammed you. However I suppose if both members understand the situation they won't be banned. We tell people to throw those items and not sell them because sometimes people like to scam and it causes issues. It is kind of complex and personally I think it varies from each situation, so for now I'll just leave it at don't sell them because it can be considered scamming if the member buying it doesn't know what they're getting into.

 

Can I still buy them if the price isn't absurd, to collect them, or do I need to stop? ;-;

 

Personally I don't care, some mods do though if one of you asks you to stop it might be time to. But if you are aware that you are buying useless items then I guess it is okay. Until another mod comes along and says it isn't or an admin.
