I suggested it on another thread and was told to make a suggestion, well here it is. I'm shit at formatting so don't expect any fancy shit better than the spoiler tag.

TL:DR - Use magic sparkles from green gems and boring item to get magic sparkle item. Bad guys dont like lots of magic sparkles. Rich use green gem and poor get magic sparkle item. Different playplaces to get magic sparkle items with different toys to play with. Yay magic sparkle gem liquid!

At the moment, the economy is kind of shit; items are far too expensive due to their scarcity so the poor can't get strong gear and the rich have nothing to spend their hordes of emeralds on. This causes everyone to get screwed. Well here is how we should fix it.

Three new areas in the WynnCraft would be added; The Thaumic Altar, The Warped Altar, and the Crystal Altar. Each has a specific use, which I will get to later. These would be where the item infusion takes place. Item infusion would be a process where you take a normal, mundane item (such as a diamond chestplate, oak bow, etc) and infuse it using various magical sources to create a new, enchanted weapon. By using mob drops, LE, powders., gear, and even some deeper sacrifices, you could infuse a weapon to get a unique, rare, legendary, or even mythic item.

Each altar would have a separate use. The Thaumic Altar would allow you to use the process of infusion to create basic, lower-tier items. The chance of getting a legendary is lowered but it is relatively safe and inexpensive. The Warped Altar allows the player to delve into the darkest of magical infusion. This altar is used to create the strongest of weapons, but these dark arts can cause instability; careful maintenance is needed to ensure things go correctly. The Crystal Altar is surrounded arcane gemstones which can focus the magic of the Liquid Emeralds into a specific item of Set, Unique, or Rare rarity. No catalysts are needed for this altar, but other items of the rarity you are trying to receive are. The Crystal Altar is also the only altar to support the infusion of accessories.

Here is an example of what it would look like. I didn't put effort into this build, it is just to show how it would work. Long text and large image warning.
This is the Thaumic Altar. I am using different colored pedestals to infuse this item. The player would right-click the floating cube above the altar to open a GUI where they would put their items in. The Gold would hold mob items, red would hold powders, gray would hold gear, blue would hold runes, and green would gold LE. LE and Mob Drops support a stack per pedestal.

This is the GUI. Clicking the Anvil would check if everything is right, give you the percentages of the element and rarity of the item. If something is incompatible (ex. you guarantee a 100% chance of an elemental combination on a type of item that does not exist)

When you click the bow, it would bring you to this screen. You place the normal weapon you are infusing in the middle. Click the arrow to go back.

This is the GUI for the infusion catalysts. The Liquid XP would let you insert liquid emeralds. The Red Dye allows you to insert powders, the rotten flesh would allow you to insert mob drops and other various items, and the Shovel would allow you to insert catalyst gear. Powders could either be used to guarantee an element or guarantee there isn't an element. Clicking the book in the corner would give you an explanation of what they do. Speaking of which, here is one:

-Liquid Emeralds are the base cost of the infusion. The more you have, the higher chance of getting a rare item. For example, for a Lv. 70 item, around 2LE would guarantee a rare and 64LE would guarantee a legendary. The Thaumic and Crystal Altar supports up to 64LE, while the Warped Altar supports up to 320LE. (5 stacks). At 320LE, a Lv. 90 item would have a 50% chance of becoming a mythic.

-Powders may be used to increase the chance that an item will contain a certain element. This allows you to filter unwanted items of that level and allow you to get a specific item that you want of a Legendary+ rarity.

-Mob Drops simply increase the stability of the altar, which increases the chance of getting rare items slightly. It mainly affects infusions that require more than 64LE at the Warped Altar, and reduces the amount of mobs, bosses, and side effects. You also add runes here. The Nii rune would decrease the stability by 20% of its current value, for example. This would stack diminutively.

-Using items of a rarity within the level range of the item you are infusing increase the chance of getting one of that rarity. If a mythic is put as a, a warning would pop up stating that the instability will increase exponentially. (10x) If a mythic is inserted in an altar other than the Warped Altar, it will explode upon attempting to infuse with it. The Mythic and LE will be kept in tact, but everything else will be lost. To be fair, the player will be warned.

This is the Warped Altar. It is fueled with the deep, dark powers of the Nether, drawing energy from the abyss. It can support far more items. While infusing something with a high instability here, enemies from the abyss such as demons, void monsters, and more will attempt to disrupt the process by attacking you. They are based on the infusers' level, but are much stronger. It is recommended to bring some friends, or ask for help from those waiting for you to finish. (There will only be 2 per server) If the players die, Death will allow them to respawn right next to the altar, but at a cost of 5SP. If they choose to accept, they can defeat the swarm of mobs attacking the altar (which has a health bar; the cube is an entity that can be interacted with as the GUI and killed to cancel the infusion). They can only respawn next to it once.

This is the crystal altar, which can support 12 items, 2 stacks of LE and 2 runes. The Crystal Altar would not support Legendary or Mythic armor or weapons. However, you can browse through a list of Uniques, Rares, and Sets and their average ID and select one you want. The cost would vary per item.

You can also create rings, amulets, and bracelets here, although you do not have as much control over them as you do with other items. By using LE, you can infuse a mundane bauble (which would be bought elsewhere) to infuse. The results are more unpredictable, but you can control the rarity by using 12 of the same rarity. This method can support legendary items; if you get 12 legendary Lv. 8-ish items with a ring, for example, you are almost guaranteed a Concentration. This allows the player to obtain rings in a method other than loot chests.

How would this help, exactly? It would allow the rich to spend their money to get the items they want, acting as a moneysink to get some LE out of circulation. It would bring down the scarcity of certain items (low-level accessories, mythic items, etc) by allowing players to create them themselves. Poorer people could enchant items with their LE in the Crystal Altar to get a specific item they need for their build (A good unique item shouldn't be 20LE, Squid Anklet anyone?). And it adds a layer of complexity and most importantly fun in creating your own items. It is complex and complicated, meaning it can't be easily done willy-nilly.

I didn't go into specifics in this thread because I suck with numbers and balance. If anyone wants to make any, feel free to comment.

That's all, please spread this around and leave feedback; I'll improve it. This isn't perfect but I think once refined it could become a great addition to the game.

Saying "DO ONE MILLION TRILLION GAZILLION ITEMS" is just a lazy way of making it hard. It should require some thought, preparation, customization, and even a few variables such as luck in it to make it deeper than just farming items to get another item. Then again, my suggestion is fucking LE-heavy.

I was actually considering adding crafting components like that but ultimately decided against it as we don't really need more useless drops; we already have Misc items for that. Though your suggestion is pretty awesome as well, I think it could be a cool way to get lower level (50-) items; by foraging through the wild and gathering materials you can scrap yourself something. Then for higher levels you would start using magic to infuse them to keep up with the growing demand for power. That's actually cool, do you mind if I add to this later while giving you full credit for that portion?
