Is There Anyway To Help Lag?

i mean, usually lag doesn't bother me since it's totally expected, but ever since the update my fps has not gone above 1, and it takes chunks almost a minute to load in. i'm trying to keep playing, but it's nearly impossible when i can't attack or hardly move. i'm guessing it's probably my laptop having trouble with it, so does anyone have any tips for this?

 

fps does not equal lag. Lag is connection to the server and not your peformance on the game. Try installing optifine if you haven’t already and tone down your settings.

 

Press F3 in-game and watch your fps - if it actually is low, then it's most likely client-side lag, since connection lag doesn't cause fps changes in the F3 menu. What are your computer's specs? (most importantly RAM and GPU info)

 

I heard that adding ram to Mc will fix this

Btw u can also use dynamic updates and stand still for a while to make the world load
