Is there a way to recover my item?

I was doing the rise of Quartron quest and during on of the cutscenes, I accidently dropped my main weapon, I would have just picked it back up, but then the cutscene ended and my item disappeared. The item in question was a quality 60-70 percent Sage with a wind III powder applied.

Is there any possible way I could get my item back? or am I going to just have to bite the bullet and go broke getting a new weapon.
