Is Assassin Really That Bad?

Very true, take Blue Mask for example: A lvl68 legendary helmet used in many endgame builds for lvl90+ for the amount of skillpoints it gives.

really tho give me a good example for an armor piece that is good for a thunder/earth build
most of the legendaries are lvl 60-70
and the high lvls are uniques or rares and alltho uniques and rares can be good those ones arent :/

Whether an armor piece, accessory, or weapon is "good" or not is really up to the player, hence why I laughed at the fact that you said it is a fact. I would think a Thunder/Earth build is "good" because I'd think it is a fun setup to use. In my mind, not every build that is fun has to be OP/strong. I really am a fan of the more gimmick builds though.

its good if it gives u good bonuses who fit the build
a dex/str build is pure glass cannon , i want to see if there are any armor pieces who give high damage for that build
for all i know there arent any that give anything too special

 

When I start to realize that there will be a flame war that will slowly start up and cause the assassin apocolypse once kraby makes more posts in these threads xD. Well... I mean Assassin is good enough for me to be able to play as assassin without needing to bring potions 90% of the time. So I guess Assassin is pretty viable in a normal run. Or even in a potionless run...

It's not that bad, and the next update should solve most issues (powders buff dmg, more dagger selection, etc). It's just really quite mana heavy though, so you need to manage your spells well, and the class just needs some getting used to.

 

The next update will make earth/thunder builds more viable too, so then @Kraby can stop yelling about how Arakadicus' Maw sucks cause there's no armour or accessories to go with it.

I remember the assassin used to have permanent speed 1, I think a permanent base speed boost would help the assassin in a lot of ways.

 

It does, you have to have at least like 60 levels in total levels to use assassin last time I checked.


Anyway, I see assassin as the class that needs a good build to be good, mage, archer, and warrior are sort of out of the box good and can be improved with builds to be over powered, but assassin you need a proper build or else you'll struggle more

 

My main character is an assassin. And like you said, the mana consumption and mobility is a MASSIVE problem. the Spells for assassin are:
Spin attack, Vanish, Multi-Hit, and Smoke Bomb. All of them except Vanish are attack spells. the the only ranged one be Smoke bomb. (its got low -mid range) And vanish drains your mana the longer your are invisible. however, the attack on it is very good. super fast attack speed is on most daggers, and spin attack or multi hit can rack up 300+ damage with Alijmu's daggers. (lv 26 I think) the attack is great, the Mobility and mana drain are very prominent though.

 

I racked up 3k damage on multi hit with scorpion (90-120 normal attack speed neutral dmg) back when I was killing llevigar villagers on my potionless assassin run. He also deals like 900 - 1.4k dmg with spin attack, and like 5-6k dmg with smoke bomb (Thats almost as much as my level 81 mage's 3 mana meteor being 6-8k). Oh yea and my assassin is only level 50 gonna equip the reaper of soul soon to increase dps and spells more.
