    So going with the assumption that Rebels=Fruma, does that mean that the Queen of Fruma perhaps uses dark magic/corruption to sustain the extremely strong magical barrier surrounding Fruma?

    There is no way the corruption and darkness are the same thing. Corruption is the chaos formed between light and dark...

    ...unless it's saying the corruption is leaning a bit more to the darkness than to the light, as we clearly see throughout the story.
