Well, it looks like it’ll be up to the entire Senate now. Dunno if they’ll do the investigation though.

 

If they don't do a proper investigation I'll be pissed and if they find him guilty without an investigation sill go against the entire philosophy "beyond a shadow of a doubt".

 

yeah, if I were the Republicans I would just let them do the investigation. If he's really not guilty, then the investigation will just confirm his innocence. If not, then at least we'll know what really happened, and they will actually be justice (though I doubt they can prosecute him).

I've read from too many sources about Kavanaugh's behavior being "loud and angrey" during the hearing but imo if my career was on the line and I was (((possibly))) being falsly accused for sexual assault than I would be pretty pissed as well. Additionally as stated before Vox is to be taken with a grain of salt during this case as their previous articles do demonstrate a clear bias. However I do not deny the fact that both parties were dodging questions during a trial that could be pivotal.

I guess the feminazis have really fucked things over for the men. Listen here, women have nothing to lose legally or financially from accusing people of rape, and men have everything to lose even if it's an accusation. Even if the woman admits on camera that she faked it up, that mans reputation is in the gutter. It's a quick and easy way to ruin a mans life and get away scot free.Case in point, Fort Collins's case. Even though the woman admitted on camera that she faked it, his life was ruined.
As I said again, I don't believe anything unless there's evidence. I can understand why they would come out now, but do they have any evidence other than "I said so"?

Women do get caught and are punished for false rape accusations, it is nothing that is unheard of. And more emotional delivery on the victim's end will always win a neutral crowd over, that is just the way some people will react unfortunatly. However classifying false accusations as a misdemeanor needs to be changed for the better to compare to a guilty suspect of rape.

 

Compare that one year in the slammer that she got, to the complete and utter devastation that the families of the falsely accused must have faced. They must have been made outcastes from their own community, for the mere accusation of it will set them back and they'll have to explain themselves for something that they didn't do, for their entire fucking life. The sad sack of shit who accused them merely walks off with a slap on the wrist. United States of America, get your head out of your ass, and realise that it's no longer the 1990's where you're the king of the world, smh

 

Not everyone who sympathizes with Ford and the other accusers is a ‘feminazis.’ Based on what I read, a lot of people do because they or someone they know were sexually assaulted. As I said before, it’s not right to punish anyone without any concrete evidence. But if you want the other side to understand that, you don’t label them feminazis.

Well the thing is before Trump nominated kavanaugh, he placed him on the shortlist, which is when Dr. Ford first came out with the accusation, she tried to report it to multiple places before kavanaugh was actually nominated. It didn't actually become public despite her efforts until she wrote a letter directly to Dianne Feinstein (I probs spelled that wrong). Even before the accusations came out, imo he felt very polarizingly Republican with alot if beliefs and values I don't necessarily agree with.

 

With or without evidence or not, his name and career have been tarnished. Either way if hes proved innocent or guilty it will still end badly for him with his entire life been destroyed by these accusations.

Its become a frequent occurrence in media where someone files for sexual assault without proof and even if the person accused is proved innocent, their name is already out there and their life is over. I believe this could've been dealt with privately rather than making it public because at this rate with the media's involvement, shit has literally hit the fan.

This whole thing is just a side effect of the polarization of the Supreme Court. While some might argue it’s because the S.C. has overstepped its bounds (like Fox), it’s really because the way they changed how they nominated S.C. judges.

I can respect not wanting him to be nominated because of his politics. It’s just when people think it’s ok to overlook the legitimacy of accusations to achieve the same goal it becomes a problem.

 

Innocent until proven guilty. That’s all I have to say.

See the reason why people call them feminazi's is that they tend to attack people who have different opinions to them not to mention they never listen to the opposing side which just makes things extremely complicated and frustrating and most of the time they will naturally jump to conclusions without any evidence presented to them. Now that being said, there are genuinely people have been sexually assaulted and/or do support Dr Ford but the problem is most people would mis-label them as feminazi's. This isn't exactly fair and in doing so will, as you said, make the other side refuse to listen to your arguments. On the flip of things however, there are a select few who are actively attacking people who are willing to support Kavanaugh. I myself, even though I'm Irish and this has nothing to do with me, support Kavanaugh simply because there is no concrete evidence to suggest he did it in the first place.

There are ways to debate/talk about this topic, but attacking people because they support Dr Ford / Kavanaugh is completely idiotic.

Shame how some people will exploit the way people are sensitive towards controversial subjects, all it does is cloud future situations of rape all to gain a party advantage. I think I already mentioned this in another thread, but it is exemplified in this situation as well.
