Personally I'd much rather ignis's design stay the same, just be buffed.

Just because a weapon goes against a classes playstyle doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. Think about it from an Archer's perspective. Archers by themselves are squishy, a weapon that can bring them up to say, roughly 100% defense instead of the 60% base defense, and still maintain all the upsides Archer has seems decent to me.

Theres nothing wrong with inferno, I just want to see a new sort of fire dagger (rarity lower than mythics) added to the game. Not just that but, many fire daggers you see in game are pretty bad (not including inferno).

I'd have to disagree with you there, it promotes variety and having the mobility and range of archer with potentially on-par tankiness of non-tank Assassins and Mages, or glassy Warrior builds can be a perfectly viable "design" choice. One of the reasons its prolly viewed as underpowered is because a lot of people like to crank the heck outta their best traits, therefore less people use defense archer, and less use may lead to less worth. Stat-wise is Ignis underpowered? Maybe, but the popularity argument could definitely be part of the equation.

honestly seems kind of underpowered without tier stacking IMO, and even within that build archetype faces competition from Limbo, which isn't nearly as restrictive in it's Skill Point reqs and allows use of powder specials, which are a boon for melee DPS

Flameshot is mainly used for melee. But for spells? every single fire daggers are underpowered.

Flameshot: 2k-3k spins non-crit with no armor or powder special.

Inferno: Roughly 4.5k-5k spins non-crit with no armor and with two tier 6 fire powders. Also has access to courage.

Yes let's not use weapons at their fullest potential, that way it's more convenient for my argument.

well they already did make it more convenient for their argument and they want to keep it that way so i'll just compare it with no powders
flameshots critical damage is always within the range of infernos normal damage, weird because flameshot should be terrible at spell but I guess inferno just relies allot on powders

Flameshot has no powder slots, and nobody in their right mind wouldn’t put powders on a mythic weapon. I don’t see how my comparison was unfair at all.
so? Inferno still does more damage than flameshot. Also, keep in mind that Inferno has a health bonus, flameshot doesn’t. While -1/4 mana regen can look intimidating, in reality it doesn’t make much of a difference
You’re twisting this like Inferno is the only mythic that benefits from powders. Like I said before, no one in their right mind wouldnt put powders on a mythic weapon, unless it has no powder slots.

So wait, is it just item skill point requirements being changed, or also other aspects? (Such as IDs, attack speed, amount and/or types of damage, etc.)

can I ask if there's a reason you are keeping them like this?

like... there's no reason to use morph-emerald right now instead of a topaz (way less reqs)
plz dont say lootbonus > xpbons
