why does it even need -LS? it already has -mana regen. just remove the -LS so that it can be an spell-air-stealing spear hybrid weapon.

 

The way I see it, Warrior is a defensive class at heart. Giving Warrior an offensive air weapon kinda clashes with Warrior's base 120% defense, so in order to get that done, I guess they have the -lifesteal? 110 Agility on Warrior seems like it needs some creative building to get good damage and survivability, because most Warrior builds right now are defensive.

Also, Defense and Agility are not that comparable. Defense is constant(taking damage over time), but Agility is not(taking damage per hit).

That lore is no joke; this item is super heavily offensive. Not only is its base damage way above usual, but it has the raw and % and air damage on it, as well as a massive amount of speed and two powder slots. It's ridiculously strong in of itself...and so the downsides, the -mana and -life steal, each hamper that in a way. The raw damage is a huge boon given it's at Very Fast attack speed, but you risk damage to yourself by doing so, and the spell damage is also great but your mana regen is hampered. That's why.

 

Also worth noting; the Cluster damage buff was revoked.

As for why...well, we played around with it on GM, and that extra 50 damage at super fast, with all those powder slots...it had a massive impact on its damage. A bit too massive. The life steal buff is remaining, however. So is the stealing, but no one cares about that.

Kind of off-topic: if some weapons are based around their lore so much (like the Zephra mentioned above), how does it come that we can hold Stratiformis in our hands when it's literally made of air or how can we lift Proxima when the lore said it's impossible to lift?

 

The lore is made for the item; the item is not made accordingly for the lore
It just so happened that the lore of zephra shredder is more realistic than others

 

Grandmother is fine imo, the problem with Gaia is that it would be a good melee weapon, but melee just isn’t good in general, especially because it’s a Mage weapon.

I think Gaia should be reworked to be a water/earth weapon, but afaik the item team can’t rework mythics, only change the stats on them

It's too restrictive to use. We reduced the reqs on inferno for this reason, but monster is in the same boat as it.
