What he said. Also, the trade market has been a source of frustration for a long time. The changes as of late only exacerbate the problems still aflicting the economy. Player uncertainty over what might change next is the only problem I have right now. We need to get all of the changes we can, done ASAP. That way the changes are already in game and people can return to the market. There are still other flaws in the market, like a lack of a money sink outside of horses, but once balance is created, that will make maintaining and predicting future changes much easier. As for snail armor, I can't remember specifically why it changed.

 

Because Snail Armour was an unfocused oddity.

If you looked over its effects, some of the pieces were terrible to wear while others, such as Snail Boots, were insanely good. The set bonus, however, was unappealing, making the set only viable when one piece was worn. The only piece that mattered was the boots. The change to the set was to make the entire set usable and viable for a much tighter playstyle, but because everyone's precious snail boots got nerfed, it's now 100% a burden to wear, -10/10, worse than Pandemonium, fire Selvut and send him to the gallows tree at a quarter to four while we drink and make merry drinking Nemract Whiskey out of our freshly cleaned Capricorns.

Alkatraz doesn't even have any other damage than earth, and has 0 powder slots, so the negative damages % are most absolutely pointless... Was Salted drunk while making it or something?

 

Yeah... elemental damage on spells doesn't even work without melee damage, and there are no powder slots, so the -damages do literally nothing except clutter up the IDs...

 

Well the item is literally called Alkatraz. You're not supposed to feel comfortable when using it, that's the whole point. Read the lore on it. Doesn't it say something about being hard to look at or something?
