That's the attack tier system at play. Some people agree that it's too easy to buff attack tier, and that the attack tier system should be redone. Flameshot Hilt should theoretically deal shitty DPS, but the attack tier system allows it to be buffed to over 40k DPS.

As for the high melee damage per hit, you said that you're a glass cannon, so hopefully you understand what I mean.

There's no reason for it to be better than Alka. I'm sure if you go glass cannon with Alka you could get the same, or higher damage figures.

 

Alka with rage at 1hp can get more than that I'm pretty sure

though that's not good for obvious reasons

endurance doesn't give the 800% fire damage u needed to claim flameshot does more damage than alka

 

You would do 15k or so w/ rage on alka
You could do more w/ flameshot+endurance (doesnt mean you will or is practical)

 

You also have to factor in the other melee and some other shit (crits, sp buff, etc.)

 

Which you can assume alka also gets...

I feel like not enough people have seen this edit Selvut added on to his message on page 22.

While their requirement was increased, Hive armor got slightly buffed for the playstyles they benefit towards. While still decreasing synergy in the form of changing the negative IDs as well. Even then, that doesn't really matter to people like me who use Boreal-Patterned Chestplate, but isn't a full on rainbow tank.

 

I agree with a bit of the stuff you said...
But the thing is...

1) Selvut is not the guy to blame, He does nothing with coding, He just makes items/quests, He's a GM.

2) Even the coders are not to blame because fixing this system now is going to be pointless, It was already said... The code is being rewritten and has been for the past few months, So making any changes to the code is not really going to be that effective, The code system in the game is completely outdated, That's why this kind of stuff happens.

3) I believe that with such thread being made the news would get around pretty quickly... I doubt anyone who needs to know about this hasn't, Also just never quit the game with full inventory, It's that simple.

I can see the logic from your perspective, But please try to be a bit less "Aggressive" next time you write something like this, Remember this is not a professional MMORPG, It's still good, But it wasn't made by some big gaming company, It was made in Minecraft, You could expect this kind of thing to have a few issues...

First off, there ARE people who still don't know, not everyone sits around Detlas being social. Second off, I'm not blaming Selvut for something that isn't his job I'm pointing out that there needs to be an alternative to a player logging back in one day to lose their items based off a change he just so happened to have made.

You can't say a server of this size shouldn't have expectations or make changes to prevent grief to their community.
I also have to say I disagree with you thinking I'm being too aggressive about an issue that's going to effect players as a whole.

The most you can get is 8 - 10k normally. I know, I've tried. That aside, attack tier is broken and overpowered. Not being able to use spells isn't enough of a downside for the amount of damage it gives.

The issue was that pieces were being worn together to make an elemental tank that costed little to no SP. It wasn't quite a nerf, if you saw what selvut changed about the IDs. They're now a bit harder to wear, but definitely more worth it.

Just because they're not a huge well known company doesn't meet they can't have some standards. It's one of the biggest if not the biggest RPG in Minecraft (which is popular for various reasons, so I don't know why you said that). Yeah, we'll expect anything at all to have a few issues but what Rayne's saying is quite a big deal.

Not hating on wynn or anything, and I said the same thing about why it's not being added.
