Personally I don't have an issue with people who are transgender if you want to be the opposite gender go ahead, what I fail to see is why we have now invented so many new genders what was wrong with male and female.

Even if I was willing to accept "agender", that doesn't make it a third gender, that makes it a lack of gender.

 

well in that case why do we have to have gender anyway why cant we work on a person's sex at least then i dont have to familiarise my self with hundreds of imaginary genders.

And how could there be anything other than being male and female in gender. Not identifying with either gender is really as far as it gets. You seem have the misconception that gender = sexual preference.

I'm not sure how to explain in it English but for example in Hebrew we have three genders (the third basically being "it") and we give genders to sexless things and in animate objects and numbers and feelings. it doesn't have to be connected to biological sex or preference.

There is a blood type O which is the lack of any antigen on it, but the "O antigens" don't exist, yes. We have biological and medical reasons to classify this as a separate type (Try giving AB type blood to a O recipient and have fun with the results)

So far we have no biological reasons to say that there exists any gender except male and female in the brain : The degree of masculinization may vary in it, however, that doesn't make it a third (and therefore not male or female) gender, since the "blank slate" is female, then goes through hormonal changes.

I'd be willing to agree with you the second we find a human that goes through puberty that is neither male or female, and that can actually pass this trait down.

Gender is in your brain. Everything about you is in your brain. Male and female brains are different and they exhibit different behaviours that are gendered. Gender isn't just some magical social construct or a runic mystery.

I guess you'll have to convince him if you want him to stop saying what he believes about "gender non conforming" ideas, ask him about his standard of evidence, that's the only way you'll move forward in a discussion.

As for me, as I stated, provide evidence that there exists a biological basis for people not identifying as cisgender that also don't experience gender dysphoria. That's what it would take to convince me that there exists such a thing as a "third gender"
