The symbol on the flag is the House of Sentinels logo which is the guild that Jp is from

 

It could probably be something of a Guild hangout place.

 

I can't believe I did not notice this earlier! It feels as if everything is coming together then. The different potatos across all the territories will likely change into the custom banners of guilds that own the territory. Banners have already been shown to be editable since we've seen two variations of the House of Sentinels banner when JP was changing the design.

Furthermore, the content team likely would not provide a teaser for a half finished product (in this case the flat world). I'm speculating that the village we see is a guild housing area where individual preset components can be bought. It looks as if there's still room near the back to expand further. I doubt that we'll be able to custom build our houses unfortunatley, since no builder would create such a level ground without variation.

Anyways those are just my 2 cents.
